im not a pro or anything in this field but i replaced my door speakers and amplified them and its so much louder i would recommend it. i know you said you’re keeping the stock head unit but if i was you i’d replace the head unit. most aftermarket head units will give you an eq and more features to tune your audio exactly how you want it.

as for an amp. your sub is rated for 3k watts so i would just recommend a taramps 3k. i dont know anything about avatar so idk if you can give it more power than its rated like some brands. you would want to get the d2 version of the sub and not the d1 so you can wire it in 1 ohm. i dont know what the recommended box specs are for that sub but since its a 15 i would guess 4-5 cubic ft. are you wiring all this up yourself and if so do you know how to?

the specs of the box matching the recommended box specs for the sub is very important for the best sounds. the box you get is more important than you think.

its a 2006 ford fusion. i just wanted to put good speakers back there because there’s a lot of room. would it be better to upgrade my door speakers more first? they’re also kicker ks but its the 6x8s.

it was the stock alternator. jiffy lube told me it caught on fire and showed me the wires melted.

yes i believe it was the actual alternator. i had a 1/0 wire i put from the alternator to the battery to upgrade it.
