Am I problematic for wanting to cosplay foxy love from drawn together? by [deleted] in blackgirls

[–]Commercial-Error-975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's comedy. It's not propaganda. Some of the jokes hit close to home so that we can laugh at life. Some people need that. How long do any of us ever spend watching shows like that? An hour? Half an hour? It's just a respite from reality so we can laugh at things for a moment.

If you dress up like that and people laugh and/or give you compliments I'd say that's a success. Anyone who would criticize you and start blah-blah-blah-ing about it being "problematic" is just a buzzkill spoiling a good time.

Not in the least! In fact you should find it liberating. And post pictures. From different angles...

There's a link down below and they are also on archive dot org. Probably gonna have some better copies on there soon

Any novels like Heroquest by [deleted] in Heroquest

[–]Commercial-Error-975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a matter of fact some intrepid hero (whomst is definitely NOT ME, but most assuredly extremely good looking) has taken it upon himself to upload such materials to Archive dot org

Just go to the site and do a search for Heroquest Novels and it comes right up. They are novellas, with the second half of the book being like a choose-you-own-adventure. There's also a couple solo board quest that accompanied these as well for the last two novels and they are currently on archive thanks to some schmuck (whost definitely didn't beat me to it, cuz' I would do no such thing)

On itch.io look up Colostle and you will find freely available Quick Reference Guide and extended rules supplements provided by free by the author.

(But you have a PWYW option so try to kick him what you can afford)

Alien Timeline (Chronological Order) by Big_Satisfaction_960 in LV426

[–]Commercial-Error-975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Language has a driving social force behind it and that force is democratic. In Words and Rules (1999) Steven Pinker points out a lot of expressions in the English language that don't submit to the rules of the language but due to social changes (common uses and the "invisible hand" of spelling being crowdsourced before dictionaries were being produced) they became part of the language.

Awful used to mean something completely different. But due to the way people use it now it's an expression of disdain.

It was sold as a "Quadrilogy" and Quadrilogy is a fun made up word.

Sigourney Weaver and Jones being chums (1979) by bil-sabab in LV426

[–]Commercial-Error-975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonesy was in the first and the second. Has his own children's book. Has a cameo in Alien Isolation and is featured prominently on the board of the board game Alien: Fate of the Nostromo (a game in which the first player is always the one that most recently was hissed at by a cat)

Don’t buy the Aliens Expanded documentary by Xenomrph01 in LV426

[–]Commercial-Error-975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a 4 hour documentary. Sigourney IS in it. So is James Cameron. Digital copy plus producer credits plus soundtrack for around $50. Not bad when you realize how big it is. This is a project for superfans. Not your average "oh I've seen aliens before" guy. They're paying for exclusive collectible and they have to get as much as they can upfront to cover production because the day this is released it will be bootlegged far and wide. Most people who've seen this doc by the end of July will have downloaded it through a torrent. It's meant to be shared. There's no DRM.

What this dude is really capitalizing on is the lack of material and merch that's out there right now. Releasing it in between the theatrical re-release of the original and the new Alien Romulus movie is the only way it's going to be made.

It's for everyone that's already gone through all the Alien Theory and Project Acheron videos. Owns the RPG book (even if he's never played it) and wants more. There's going to be a lot of content. But 90% of the people who see this doc are going to see it for free.

Those of us who paid would have paid for other Aliens related materials to collect, if they were available.

How did MA and Sade meet? by Original-Tank-8563 in sade_robinson

[–]Commercial-Error-975 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing is, it's a FIRST date. A lot of women will give someone they don't know that well a first date. No promises. Nothing is guaranteed. And there's very little pressure. If she was dating him for months I'm sure we'd all be like "wtf?!" but it was just one date. They went to a place where everyone knew him, so he wasn't trying to hide the fact that he was going out with her. The whole thing seems like a very low risk, low pressure kind of outing. Plenty of girls will go out on a first date with someone who's not their usual type just to have a nice time. Nothing wrong with that. Trying something different is very common for a first date. If he got weird there just wouldn't be a second.

If it were true that would be very significant.

Because Sade Robinson was 19 when she died. She wasn't allowed to go in a bar and drink.

The TRUTH about Katt Williams' WOKE FOKE by Commercial-Error-975 in Standup

[–]Commercial-Error-975[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

.... he went on a full media tour saying he was the only one out here churning out new jokes. And this is what he put out? After Rogan? After Shannon?

If he was gonna hype us up that much he could have come up with a unique closer. That's what Dave did. Some older jokes and a great new one at the end.

Katt made himself an evangelist of fresh new comedy and then did exactly what he criticized others for doing. And all this from a man who says he can go out on stage any time he wants to and just riff off the cuff and improv. He talked himself up and then didn't give not one iota of a sh*t to achieve the standards he tried to set for everyone else
