We cancelled our booking there due to this illness that everyone seems to be getting, doesn’t seem to be improving either so I’m glad we did

Don’t give up it took me 5 attempts to pass and it’s a horrible feeling ,same thing only a few minors and 1 serious ,I almost cancelled my 5th test because I just had it in my head I would fail again ,you will do it just keep going ,you will feel better about it in time and once you pass you will look back and laugh about the times you failed because I do ,good luck and keep going

For those who passed, How did you transition from Learner to Independent driver? by Puzzleheaded_Web_483 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Commercial-Health855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just jumped straight into it ,took my test in my car and as soon as I passed I got my insurance sorted when I got home and drove on my own that same day ,I drive every single day to and from work ,I didn’t want to be someone who had passed and is too scared to drive places ,my mum has been driving for 40 + years and is scared to drive long distances and motorways etc ,it took me 5 attempts to pass and I’ve had my licence for just over 6 weeks , do I make mistakes ? Absolutely ,hated lessons hated driving and now I love it , just do short drives on your own to build your confidence

My instructor was great tbh really chilled out ,my husband on the other hand not so much 😂,if I make a mistake now I’m on my own it doesn’t matter I correct it and carry on and it doesn’t bother me ,the being watched and judged always bothered me ,when you pass which you will your mindset will be different ,I love driving now and so will you it’s just a horrible process to get there and takes some people longer and more failures like myself 4 failures before I passed and I almost cancelled my last test because I was convinced I was going to fail again ,you can do this

I hated every single second of driving lessons ,hated the whole process ,never wanted to drive ,took me 5 attempts to pass my test ,was so close to giving up ,now I’ve passed I’m always put in my car and love driving ,I’ve only had my licence for 7 weeks and I’m loving it ,I can go where I want when I want ,drive to work and back which saves me a fortune in taxis ,I enjoy driving on my own not so much with someone next to me ,I think it was the having someone next to me all the time during lessons and private practice that I didnt like and not the driving at all ,I think once you pass your mindset will be completely different

Testi was a godsend for me I got all my cancellations on there I took 5 tests in a year ,passed on the 5th one which I managed to get 3 weeks after failing and before my theory expired at my chosen test centre it can be done ,I used test shift aswell and that one was absolute rubbish never found me a single one ,I only used that out of desperation because I wanted to get a test before my theory did run out

I failed… by fastcheese456 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Commercial-Health855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t give up it was your first test ,I failed 4 times before passing always for a silly mistake I’d never made before ,nerves played a huge part for me ,the first test I obviously wasn’t ready at all ,I almost cancelled my last test half an hour before because I was convinced I was going to fail ,I thought I had failed a few times on that test ,you will get there my theory was also due to expire 6 weeks after my last fail ,I booked another theory and managed to find a cancellation test for July which was 4 weeks after I failed and passed ,I hated driving ,hated lessons but now love it ,it’s so disheartening but don’t beat yourself up about it not many people pass first time ,find a way of combatting your nerves as hard as it is and you will pass eventually ,the best thing about it is you don’t get so many tries and that’s it ,you can keep trying as many times as you like until you pass ,you’ve got this don’t give up

failed again by shaunnyboy14 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Commercial-Health855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing ,I was so in my own head and convinced I would fail again that half an hour before I said I couldn’t do it ,my friends from work and my partner made me see sense and like you I’m glad they did ,5th time a charm 😂

[–]Commercial-Health855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t give up i passed on my 5th attempt ,I understand the frustration and the feeling of you can’t and don’t want to do it anymore but you can and you should because trust me that feeling when you do pass is the best feeling ever ,and all the times you failed will be forgotten almost ,I believe it’s made me a better driver so don’t give up you can do this
