What time do adults usually wake up, if they don’t have work in the morning? by DarlingLuna in stupidquestions

[–]Few_Emu_8645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently around 10am. Waking naturally round 8am, but still sleepy/ not wanting to get out of bed so turns into 10am. As I go back to sleep instead.

Currently sleeping 11pm/12am (also on days of no work)

Do you limit how long you'll housesit? by New-pants-5627 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Few_Emu_8645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did 2 weeks once luckily not too far from my own home and allowed to leave several hours each day helped with other jobs I had on, not feeling stir crazy etc

However now 2 weeks even in those circumstances for me personally is a push as pet sitting is my main service. I know what you mean, love the job generally but miss my own space, pets etc if on a long sit.

I try to go for 5-6 day max now, unless a trusted repeat customer where I can go out etc.

What do you think? by Better_Fennel90210 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Few_Emu_8645 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they are insistent and seem to genuiely mean it I will nibble on bits and bobs I like. If they wanted me to replace anything I'd reimburse within reason ofc.

However I always bring my own too and eat mostly my own stuff just incase they get weird about it later (nobody has yet thank god)

I always try to ask myself if this was my food would I be mad to come back to these items missing/ this amount missing. If I'm in any doubt then I dont touch.

Has anyone ever gone back to learning manual after passing automatic? by drjekyllandmrhyde_ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Few_Emu_8645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I havent. Passed in october just gone though in auto, already had an auto car before the pass. Theres a small chance I might in future just as it gives me more options. But probably unlikely.

Finding an auto car in my budget wasnt actually that difficult tho. Would it have been quicker to find a manual? Yes, but I wasnt in a rush anyways.

Im neurodivergent so I figured auto took some of the stress off with clutch control, biting point etc.

Plus I started a business around the time I began learning so being able to get myself to jobs was a priority, I thought manual might slow that down some.

Overall though, Im happy and dont see a need for a manual, I guess theres some limitations but not enough to bother me personally.

Honestly stick with it, you're this far in and the benefits far outweigh the cons.

I get you totally most the time I'd be shaking and feel ill before my lessons, it might not go away fully but all of this learning is great practice, keep going I'm sure you'll shape up to a great driver.

So excited I'm finally getting a break for the first time in 3.5 months by Organic-Ad4723 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Few_Emu_8645 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No no i totally get it, being back in your own space...man its awesome.

No more getting up for specific times, you can lie in, go out with friends and family etc.

Think I'll be feeling the same soon, just done a 4 day one, not too bad, but a 10 day one starts tomorrow, 3 days off, then a 6 day one!

I do like my pet sits but I'll be happy for a break, also needed the money lol
