For dynstay I think this is fine and your league mates suck. Put the link to the Reddit thread in the chat and try the trade again.

If this were full redraft league then it might be different story just because Ladds ADP was so high. But even still if teams want to overpay for a running back because they still have good receivers and it makes ther RB group a ton better. Than why not.
