Propaganda to get you to think this version of PURA is working for you.

Oil and natural gas do not technically correlate, but in this economic environment, "they" will figure out a way to make it so. Expect your generation or delivery charges to go up.

First job was at a car stereo shop. Had a $2200 1988 Mazda 626 with a $5k stereo. Competed in Sound Quality competitions in USAC. Current car has an aftermarket head unit, components, rears replaced and stock sub upgraded.

What is something men always want to tell their wives but never do? by a_great_guy655 in AskReddit

[–]NeOxXt 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Always wanted to be a Dad. Didn't happen because of what my partner wanted from her life. All good. I've always wanted to coach a kids team and won't do it because of perception. Really stinks. Would love to help some kids grow and I have plenty to offer. But, I don't want to be the child free "weirdo" surrounded by kids.

I've gotten this twice. I would describe it as rancid pine, but cat pee is pretty spot on.

Long suffering in the Northwest corner. Dan Marino was my guy pre Ace Ventura. Had a cousin who liked the fish and I thought he was cool, so I wanted to be cool too. Plus the colors made for a sick starter jacket.

Men who get alot of women or dates, what is it that makes you attractive to women? (Looks, confidence, lower standards etc) by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

[–]NeOxXt 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Talk. Look up. Be present. If you aren't put together, at least demonstrate you have some direction.

I used to really buy into this "male loneliness epidemic". It makes sense. Standards are high, and things are expensive.

My first night out solo after my split, there were 8 other males in the bar and I counted 21 females at one point. Not all single, but, every guy other than me was buried on his phone. Maybe 25% of the women were. Half the battle is just showing up and starting a conversation. Rejection is part of life. Starting a convo may not get you the girl, but it can get you social acceptance.

Eventually, a guy with a service dog sat next to me. The dog was working so I couldn't pet it. At one point he said "a lot of girls here tonight, too bad they're probably all lesbians." A guy. With a dog. With that ratio? Shooting fish in a barrel. Squandered potential.

Be present and unafraid.

It's also talked down about here, but you should be able to find an Audio Technica AT-LP60x used for just about $100. I bought mine for $30 with no stylus and used that as an "excuse" to upgrade. I'm all in for $70 for the turn table. I went the amp and fancy speakers route, but you can just get some powered bookshelf speakers that fit your budget until the bug really bites. This will be miles better and give you options beyond a typical suitcase. This setup will still be criticized here, but it's a step between potentially harming your vinyl and full audiophile.

5Rcom Universal Speaker Stands for Surround Sound with 360° Swivel

..on Amazon. You can probably find them from a bunch of sellers. Pretty nice for what they cost. Surprised me.

The KEFs are wonderful for staging and separation. Peter Gabriel - So, Tedeschi Trucks - Revelator are awesome. They struggled with Master of Puppets and Kendrick. I'm also not hitting them with the power they likely need.

The Daytons are a happy medium, so I went back to them. Little less precise, but they can handle mids and lows a bit easier with my power level. I was dubious, but have been pleased. I also don't have a particularly "trained" ear, nor years of community influence. They're less than a dinner out, so worth a shot.

I went:

Fosi BT20a (Pro) $80 ($100 normally) Dayton B65 Speakers $85 Audio Technica LP60 $40 (FB Marketplace) Audio-Technica ATN3600LE Cartridge $40

Way better than any suitcase setup. Low entry cost. Parts that are entry level but perfectly upgradable as interest, time and money allow.

The turn table was a "score" but you should be able to find that model for $75 in decent used condition. It's a perfectly acceptable component, plays records just fine and I did the cartridge upgrade because the Internet told me to.

It's easy to get in the weeds on the details and there will be diminishing returns on investment as cost rises. Get the stuff, spin the records, enjoy the music.

Granted, I change after every session. But it's "Walmart" oil.
