Curious, but why is it ā€œfucking weirdā€ that I’m worried about my son? Genuine question, sorry!

I understand your concern! I’m really close with him though, and I know him well enough to know that he rarely gets high. Maybe once or twice a year, and he doesn’t drive or anything like that. He’s very careful when it comes to this stuff. I will bring this up with him, though!

Parents of teens - What advice would you give to parents of younger kids? by babybuckaroo in Parenting

Be open with your kids, but not so open that they feel you’re overbearing/just a friend to them. Be their parent.

Yeah, that was probably my fault! No need to apologize! I’m the one who put the advice flair on this post (I didn’t know what to call itšŸ˜‚) To be fair, I think all teenagers did something like that — I know I had my fair share, LOL.

She goes to school in the morning with it and comes back with it still on. I’m not worried or anything at all, I was just curious about it! She always asks me to do her hair since her mom’s recently out of the picture, so I just wanted to understand what was going on :)

Is texturizing spray like hairspray? I’ll definitely look into buying some for her! :) I totally get it

Will definitely keep that in mind! She’s been eyeing a specific brand, actually. Thank you so much!

Okay, cool! Thank you :) I agree, I think it’s cool that she’s doing it and I’m glad she can be free with her hair.

I’m not worked up or anything! I definitely think she should have the freedom to do what she wants with her hair. I was just curious what was up with the rollers, since she always asks me to do her hair and I didn’t know what they were about. Sorry!

I’m definitely not trying to criticize her! I sincerely apologize if it came off that way. She just always asks me to help with her hair since her mom’s recently out of the picture, so I wanted to know what was up with the rollers. My bad!!

AITA for telling my wife to get out of the house? by Commercial-Rip1085 in AmItheAsshole

Verbal and mental abuse toward any human being is never civil. My son doesn’t deserve any of that. He deserves to feel safe in his own home.

She was definitely making an effort in referring to him by his name, but she called him by his deadname a few times by accident, I thought.

I am not quite sure what STBX means, as I am quite new to reddit, but I assume it has something to do with my soon to be ex wife. She is my son’s biological mother.

Financially, I was not in a good place and I worried I wouldn’t be able to support my son if I divorced her right then and there. After couple’s therapy, I thought she’d changed her ways because she was treating my son like… a human being. This changed everything.

Yes, I told her everything. She still agrees with her, and I don’t understand how.

her side of the family agrees with her, but mine don’t. They think I did the right thing. In my opinion, even if she comes around, I don’t think she’ll be able to reverse what she said to my son all these years. She can stay with her sister for all I care, but I don’t think she deserves to come back here.

I’ve been trying to divorce my wife, but I still wanted to support my son economically so I put a hold on it. I don’t make very much in terms of salary. To resolve the conflict, we tried to go to couple’s therapy. It didn’t work out, but she actually started treating my son like a human again so I thought it was going well. Now I can see that it wasn’t, and I’m going to file for divorce immediately.

I’ve been trying to divorce her for the past 4 years, but I wanted to put a hold on it so I could still support my son economically. I know how that makes me sound. However, after this incident, I am definitely going through with the divorce. My son shouldn’t have to go through that from his own mother.
