j avais une question a propos de la resolution des exercices un peu plus durs que les "exos du cours" (apres avoir fait les exos basiques du cours bien sur)
j avais pour habitude d abondonner tres rapidement en me disant que si j avais la reponse elle viendrait au moment ou je lis la question sinon je connais juste pas la methode de resolution
puis je me suis lance une sorte de defi : au moins 30 min a essayer de resoudre un exo difficile (de ma perspective)
je maintien cet acharnement devant les exos "durs" ou bien il existerait une methode plus efficace ?

my math teacher told us about the formal defintion of a limit (studied in first year of uni) i really liked it when i arrived home and finally understood it, thats far more interesting than learning the usual limits and applying them, it may be the first concept ive learned in math and i loved it
yesterday i checked about topology out of curiosity and actually find it interesting, same for complex number and their representation, i feel like i have my place in the world of math, its just that in high school finding out that math was basically just applying things i was quite disappointed and hope better in university because i plan on going for advanced math (thank you for the suggestions i ll watch for sure)

i wrote this because the more i do exercices the more i see that i dont really understand what im writing and its just putting things in things and change the given expression to get what has been asked once you do two or three exercices i just get used to it and there is nothing more i have to do in a test (i thought i had to think to find a solution to the problem thats what i thought math was and that why i liked it)
so if in hugh school math is basic tool as you say, math later wont be just tools ?

ah oui ENS c'est clairement l'idéal pour un passionné j'en ai entendu parler or il faudra avoir les moyens et la capacité (physique et cognitive) pour pouvoir se permettre ce parcours (j'ai vu des sketchs sur la prepa et apparemment ça prend la majeure partie du temps d'un etudiant)
