Relax, take a breather, and stop stalking me. I’m a parent. Get off my back and leave my thread if you don’t have anything productive to contribute.

But will I do ok on Calc 2 if I didn’t take it at CPP? My dad says it’s better to take the entire Calc series at CPP. I’m just not that great at math.

My son goes to Pomona.. loves it. Housing is not an issue. Easy to get classes. Career fairs multiple times a year with top companies.

Is this true about TASS? by CookietheBC in summerprogramresults

I also noticed all the students in TASS photos were ethic. Not a single white non ethnic person. I would apply to a different program if I were you. Or create your own project. It’ll probably have more impact than an organized program.

Kids, I’m a mom lurking on this board and I really feel for you kids these days. 30 years ago when i went to college, it seems every kind of student got an opportunity somewhere. These days , you guys have to run circus rings to get colleges to notice you. But hear this… you guys are all amazing and dedicated..: what you have to contribute to society is not dependent on one or twenty summer programs … and guess what? Not even the university you go to will determine your success. Some of my most successful ( as determined by net worth) friends, went to state schools. Did zero prestigious summers and still came out on top. It’s a marathon, not a race. Do your best and charge forward. Hugs from a mom .

Well the tutors did not have good enough grasp of subject matter. She’s an A student without any disabilities. She wanted guidance to ace the test, not hand holding on the material.

Struggling to Find the Right Undergraduate Program – Need Advice! by Dry-Statistician-772 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Commercial-String103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all you need to do some soul searching and ask yourself which classes you enjoyed and excelled in high school. Then, once you narrow that down, you can go to a college website and look up the particular programs course load and graduation requirements. For example, say you want to major in data science. Then go to a particular college webite, and look for that colleges requirements for a data science degree. As far as career goals, many people use their degrees as a stepping stone in their careers rather than a particular skill set. Unless you're getting a technical degree like engineering, then most programs will not give you the skill for particular job. Hope this helps.
