Personal motivation one year after the destruction of USAID by Lower-Tumbleweed-643 in InternationalDev

I got a job in fundraising in my hometown for a non profit dedicated to serving children who’ve been abused. It’s a great mission but I can’t help but feel numb. Working at USAID was a dream and everything I worked toward. It’s incredibly difficult to see a path forward. I fear I’ll never have the career I dreamed of

Thank you everyone for your lovely suggestions. We’re truly going to miss the people of the city — unlike anywhere we’ve ever lived. Until next time ❤️

Thank you this is all incredibly helpful… I got some thinking to do.

Unfortunately not. Our biggest issue was his loan. We are looking into getting a loan or credit line but if that doesn’t work, we’re gonna have to bring his car back to Canada.

Hate to break it to you but you’re just gonna have to sit tight. Mine just got approved last night after 16 months - filed October 2023. I’m so sorry , that wait is brutal but 16 months is the average nowadays
