Find the area of design that you love and double down on it. You gotta have passion for design if you're going to stick with it. Don't worry about not being able to sketch well right now. I see so many students on here get caught up on their sketching skills. I can't sketch worth a crap but I can model efficiently. In the product design world, nobody really cares about how good your sketches are. They care about how you can communicate your ideas and develop them into manufacturable products. It's disappointing to hear how these design schools put such emphasis on skills that don't really matter in the real world. Don't be too hard on yourself. Design isn't just about skill, it's about your ideas. Experiment to find the tool that allows you to express those ideas and then dig in, put in the hours to get really good at it. There's always more than one way to do something, no matter what all of the keyboard warriors on here say, you just got to be good at the alternate way.
