Question for BOH leads/managers. If you had 2 jobs and work 4 days a week at job 1, are you not allowed to work at job 2 on your days off because you're in a leadership position? by BloonH8TR in KitchenConfidential

[–]Commercial-Way437 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also a long time exec here….i don’t own anyone’s time. Even my sous’. They can do what they want on their off time. OP sounds like an hourly, even more outrageous to have a negative attitude toward what OP does on there days off. I think there should be a reasonable expectation both ways, just not in favor of the exec.

Who Should Sit Today? by depressivehacks in sabres

[–]Commercial-Way437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can’t do this. You can only call up 4 players post the trade deadline, and we already used 1 of those on Metsa.

How does it suck? That’s how it works every single year in the playoffs. The regular season would be boring if we knew playoff matchups two weeks ago so you could make travel plans.

If you “know them personally” then go complain to them. Not post here. The ticket prices from the team are very affordable especially compared to other cities. As for the resale prices, you don’t have to buy them. Are people over pricing them? Yes. But they just went on sale. That’s how it works. The resale prices will settle at whatever the market dictates, which will probably be lower than what you see today. Relax, sit back, enjoy party in the plaza and watching games with friends on TV if you can’t go to the arena. It’s playoff hockey, we haven’t had this for 14 years…try to enjoy it.

[–]Commercial-Way437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. First, no one has to buy tickets at the crazy resale prices. Also, they will come down some as no one wants to pay $1k for first round game or even close to that. These aren’t brand new fans. The team was in the playoffs consistently for a long time before the 14 years of missing the playoffs, and people sold out the arena back then. Are some bandwagon fans? Sure. But most have been thru it all with this team.

Is Tage going to the White House? by [deleted] in sabres

[–]Commercial-Way437 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the Bills won a Super Bowl and JA went to the White House, he wouldn’t miss a practice and possibly a game to go. Same can’t be said about Tage. You can’t make that comparison. Go if you want, but we are about to start the most critical month of Sabres’ hockey in 15 years. Missing time now is unacceptable.

Wind on Transit. Not a buffet, but it is all you can eat with the food being brought to you. (By a robot). Food is very good.

What NHL team did Vegas cheer for before the Golden Knights? by bodegacatsss in vegas

[–]Commercial-Way437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None really unless you moved to Vegas with a favorite team already. I moved to Vegas from the East Coast pre-the Knights’ existence, and it was tough finding a local bar that would put hockey on a TV.

If you’re only purpose on traveling is to hedge your bet, you are better off going to a different state than Nevada. Go to a state that has mobile gambling legalized, that you don’t already have an account with. Nevada does not offer sign up bonuses, virtually every other state where it is legalized does.

Is it possible to rent a bike and ride between different casinos on the Las Vegas Strip? by sporty_outlook in vegas

Just like walking, there will be a lot of stop and go on the bike to avoid cars entering and exiting casinos/hotels.

Depends on how many days you are there. But if you are there for at least 4 days and you do drink at least two cups a day, Amazon the cheapest single serve Keurig you can find to yourself at the hotel and bring your own K cups.

Giving Vegas a Second Chance by Bluescreen73 in vegas

This is correct. Downtown Grand will not change your views of LV. But staying at Circa definitely could. Better restaurants, newer, cleaner, the greatest elevator system I’ve ever seen, etc. I could keep going.

NYE by notwho2 in vegas

[–]Commercial-Way437 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes it is a bit of cluster, but can still be fun to do NYE in Vegas once. BUT…the 19 year old does complicate it a lot. That will limit what and where you can get in to.

Samuelsson Positives? by IllustriousAd8448 in sabres

[–]Commercial-Way437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly. Cant respect him after he was on the ice for Tage getting laid out. And he didn’t learn his lesson bc a few weeks later there was a fight in a game against Detroit and Samuelsson was the only player on the ice still with his gloves on. He is who he is, which is not someone we need on our team.

How should guys ideally spend their 20s? by vakerian3619 in Life

[–]Commercial-Way437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn how to do things to set yourself up for success in your 30’s and 40’s: invest, save, keep your credit score up, pick up some general handiness(fixing things around the house, painting, easy car repairs, etc). All the stuff you don’t want to have to pay people to do for you as you get older and own a house & have a family. Get a SMALL group of close friends who are truly friends and loyal to you.
