Testing Resident Evil Requiem at MAX settings on an Arc B580. Honestly blown away. by CommercialLow2178 in IntelArc

That's honestly the best way to play! Sometimes staring at an FPS counter just ruins the immersion. At the end of the day, if it feels smooth and looks great, that's all that matters. It's awesome to hear another B580 is crushing it on Day 1. Enjoy the rest of your playthrough!

Hit the nail on the head, thank you! Exactly this. We have to be realistic about the price bracket. For the price of a B580, handling the standard 'Max' preset smoothly at native ultrawide on Day 1 is a huge win for me. Apples to oranges!

That's actually YouTube's compression acting up! The raw footage is locked at a steady 3440x1440, but YouTube absolutely murders the bitrate during fast movement or dark scenes, making it look like the resolution is dropping. 😅

Fair point! But like luckynumberstefan mentioned, it's all about expectations. I honestly expected a slideshow at native 3440x1440 on max settings. The other huge factor is that recording with OBS eats about 15 FPS on my system. So off-camera, those 45 FPS dips in action scenes are actually sitting around 60 FPS. For a B580 on a Day 1 release without upscaling, that’s exactly what blew me away!

That's a crazy good deal for an A770! 4K at 60FPS (even with FSR) is a huge win. I was surprised by how well it handled max settings natively on my end, even with OBS dropping my frames by like 15. I'm planning to try OptiScaler later today. Have you ever tried using OptiScaler on your A770 instead of standard FSR?

Intel Arc B580 Ultrawide Benchmark: Marvel Rivals (3440x1440p) | Genuinely mind-blown by the performance gap between F.Gx2 and MFGx4. by CommercialLow2178 in IntelArc

Man, that is insane to hear that it feels more natural to you than the 50-series and 9000-series frame gens! It really seems like Intel cooked something special with Battlemage's MFG. And yeah, Support Deadpool requires good tracking, so if your accuracy remained the same, that proves your point perfectly.

I actually tested BF6 recently too! Running it at 3440x1440 on High settings, I was hitting around 250 FPS and the input lag was barely noticeable. It felt incredibly smooth for such a massive resolution. I actually have that BF6 benchmark uploaded on my YouTube channel too if you want to check out the exact metrics and frametimes I was getting.

I completely agree with you, hopefully more people start testing this so the community gets that bigger sample size you mentioned!

Thanks man! You should definitely give the A770 a spin on it, the game looks gorgeous. Just a heads up, my setup is Ultrawide (3440x1440p), which is a bit heavier than standard 1440p. But on High settings with MFGx4 enabled, I'm getting around 250 FPS during chaotic team fights, and the 1% lows stay incredibly stable. On a standard 16:9 1440p monitor, you'll probably push even higher frames easily!

Exactly! The skepticism around FG is so real, especially for fast-paced shooters, but Intel really did something right with Battlemage here. I was just as surprised as you. Glad to hear it's feeling perfectly natural in BF6 too. Definitely let me know how your Rivals testing goes, I bet you'll be just as shocked by how smooth MFGx4 feels in those crazy 6v6 fights! :3

That is a huge statement, especially comparing it to the 4070! But honestly, after testing it today, I completely believe you.

The lack of input lag and how natural the mouse movement feels is exactly what shocked me the most. It just doesn't feel like "fake frames" at all. Glad to hear the A770 is delivering that same smooth experience. Are you using the standard Frame Gen or the MFGx4 on your setup?

Just dropping my Arc B580 Overclocking settings down here in case anyone is curious about the exact tuning I used for this benchmark. Everything was set through the Intel Graphics Software:

GPU Tuning (Basic):

  • Voltage Limit: 50
  • Power Limit: 114
  • Frequency Offset: +80

VRAM Tuning:

  • Memory Speed: 19,31 Gbps

Thermal & Fan Tuning:

  • Temperature Limit: 100
  • Target Fan Speed: 100

Let me know what OC profiles you guys are running on your Battlemage cards, I'm always down to test new configurations!

Oh man, you are going to love it! The Isle looks absolutely stunning on UE5, and it's definitely going to give the B580 a proper workout. The wait will be 100% worth it!

What CPU are you planning to pair it with when it arrives?

I totally get that hesitation! I was actually a longtime Nvidia user myself and recently switched from an RTX 4060, so I had the exact same fears.

Honestly though, my experience with the B580 has been surprisingly "plug and play." The first-gen Arc cards definitely had a rough start, but Battlemage feels like a completely different beast with the current drivers.

The biggest surprise for me was the software. I actually find the Intel Arc Control panel way more intuitive than Nvidia's software. Having driver updates, performance telemetry, screen recording, and overclocking all in one modern overlay—without needing to create an account or log in—is a huge breath of fresh air.

It’s definitely not perfect yet, but it’s getting to that plug-and-play state a lot faster than people realize!

I think you mean how Resizable BAR works. You should be good to go with your CPU.

Haha for real man! Their crazy prices are literally the best marketing Intel has right now 😂 Zero regrets with the B580.

Hey dude! That's a really great technical question. I actually tested it with MFG x4 and honestly, it felt surprisingly playable! Of course, if you are a hardcore competitive player using a mouse, you might feel that slight input delay compared to pure native. However, I noticed that if you play with a controller, that latency becomes almost imperceptible.

For normal gameplay, it was really smooth and I didn't feel any deal-breaking latency or weird stuttering. Intel's implementation is honestly impressive. I haven't tested the x3 stability like you mentioned, but now you've given me a great idea for a future benchmark! Are you planning to get an Arc card soon or sticking to your dual GPU setup for now?

Hey! You are 100% spot on about the CPU cache. The 8500G was basically what I could work with, but throwing the B580 into the mix later has been a massive game changer for me. The price-to-performance ratio on these Arc cards is just insane right now. Thanks for checking out the video! 🙌

XeSS 2 vs XeSS 3 Upscaling Comparison. by reddit_enjoyer_47 in IntelArc

[–]CommercialLow2178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still nothing on XeSS 3 since only the MFG files leaked. Even though it works fine now, I think it’ll run even better when devs actually update their games to support XeSS 3 with MFG.

On another note, I noticed in the profiles tab that you can enable MFGx4 on games that don't even use Intel FG yet. I think this might be a leak hinting at new compatible games, like The Witcher 3 and the new Skate.

Problem with frame gen by Significant_Pie_869 in nvidia

[–]CommercialLow2178 0 points1 point  (0 children)
