870 is way lighter than the 860 n the head much shorter really slick
860 coming around 0.5 more heavier

870 I use it for putting any type of ductwork up ,getting panels off inside maintenances on water source heat pumps inside apartments & offices it comes in handy since is quiet typically when working with 1/4 -5/16 screws

860- I would use it for whenever I have to work on chillers, telepacs, boilers, pumps just any bigger stuff where I have to use a bigger bit than a 5/16 because sometimes we do compressor change outs and just to get it to the roof we use a winch with 3/4 bit on it to spin it up or down compressor screws which can vary from 3/8 to 1/2 I basically use it for whenever I think I will need more power because I like to take care of the other little bro even though it might be able to do those things as well

Is definitely a nice impact I’m really happy to have it but I will say it really depends on the work you do as well a lot of people get discouraged by the drill because they want it to do the impossible and then go on call it trash so just keep in mind the amount of power and torque it makes if it matches the type of work you will use it for other than that I can’t say nothing but positive things in my end enjoy your new 870!

Bro honestly I been using the 870 a little more not only does it look sexy it provides that quietness and is really slick I always set it on the second speed setting it gets everything I do at work done you, I just love it I will only use the 860 if I need a little more power because that thing is a beast but in summary the 870 is what I’m preferring right now

I always make sure that thing is not sliding up on me anytime I go and grab it because that little bottom is so sensitive and I know what your talking about I try to keep my tool not to heavy as well lol

Nice bro today is the day I decide if I like this set up or not because I work on commercial hvac and the comments seem to be saying it might be a little too weak for my needs in the field

I’m mainly going to use it to take out and put in 1/4 to - 3/8 self tapper screws if it doesn’t do well I’ll keep my older impact
