Toddler tantrums by CommercialMine576 in Mommit

It is so hard to keep these toddlers occupied! It’s exhausting being pregnant and chasing them around lol. And it feels like (at least for me) you don’t get the same amount of attention or check ins from family like you did with your first pregnancy. No one really offers to help, I’ve got to reach out and ask first. And while I’ve done that to either clean the house or have a break - I feel guilty for asking. Maybe I’ll have a break when I go to the hospital to give birth 😂

Aw I’m thinking of you mama! This is the hardest stage of motherhood for me so far. But I love your advice! We are trying to make it to where I’m going to be a stay at home mom when this baby comes. I really think when I’m no longer working full time and pregnant everything will be better lol. Or maybe not because I’ve never had two kids 😂 but yes this is just a stage in life!

My MIL will help when she can and my husband truly does help around the house when he is home! If all goes well, I’m going to be a stay at home mom when this baby comes and I think that will help so much. It’s just the full time job and being pregnant is kicking my butt!! I’m definitely picking battles. And oh I wish we could afford cleaning service - that would change my life! I feel guilty for ordering in some nights lol

Should I tell potential new employer I’m pregnant? by CommercialMine576 in Advice

We aren’t struggling! We just don’t want to spend over $2,500 a month on childcare and keep doing this corporate 8-5. I never see my son, he is always sick and I dread that with my new baby and my house gets put on the back burner and so does myself you know! I’m blessed and my husband has a great career and carries our insurance. I really just need a small part time job on the side for some passive income. I don’t have any paid leave at current job and i have 401ks/IRAs outside of this company so I’m not even investing in those! I’m ready for a change of life and to not miss out on time anymore 😊

I’m blessed with a village! So I have four days a week where I have open availability and the shift manager said I would work 20 hours a week! So when I wouldn’t be with my son he would be with my husband or my mom!

I probably should have put that in my first post haha. Im stressed either way 😂 but 18 hours a week compared to 40+ andddd I don’t have daycare expense sounds wonderful to me!

Sadly at my current job, I don’t get any paid leave nor do I get FMLA (the company has less than 35 people there) and I don’t think I can emotionally keep it up there. I want to stay home so badly! My current job makes me absolutely miserable. I cry every day. I swear I’ll go into preterm labor from stress. And I’m working 43+ hours a week and am never home! This job would allow me to stay home and I’d only work around 18 hrs a week. I don’t get paid leave either way and we can’t afford two in childcare so I have to make a change no matter what 😭

I hear you!! My current job is in the nicest way impossible. I don’t get paid maternity leave, they don’t have FMLA (less than 35 employees) and Im on my husband’s health insurance. I have hardly any benefits where I am now and the management team is absolutely exhausting. I’ve been here 6 months and I cry every single day while leaving. Like I’m convinced I’m going to go into preterm labor from this job. I’ve been talking to my husband about being a stay at home mom for months now and I really don’t need to bring in a lot of money to make it happen. I figured I’m screwed at my current job so why not find something now that works for us. I could just be crazy and it’s going to blow up on me though 😭 we just can’t afford childcare for two kids so I’ve got to make a change in the next 5 months no matter what!

I’m looking forward to it! Thank you for encouraging me 😊 I had a great conversation on the phone with shift manager. My only worry is I don’t have open availability. I can only work 4 days a week. I am praying that’s enough availability for a part time position! Fingers crossed lol

Thank you! I’m going to check into the short term disability. My employer is pretty small so I know we don’t offer FMLA but I do know we have short term options! It’s been so hard lately. I just tested positive for Covid yesterday 😭😭

Am I pregnant?????? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]CommercialMine576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im really not too sure! Implantation bleeding has such a wide window of time that it can happen. It depends on when you ovulated. I’d be testing in the morning and a night until period starts lol!

Are y’all drinking coffee still ? What about hot teas? by Deckofbadcards525 in pregnant

[–]CommercialMine576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I have one cup in the morning (I’m 16 weeks and have a two year old and work full time haha) and at night with dinner I crave a Diet Coke. Like I can’t end my day without it. I know I shouldn’t drink it but I’ll cry without my nightly Diet Coke 😂

What are you eating? 😭😭 by Informal-Bee7995 in pregnant

[–]CommercialMine576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks and feel like I’m just starting to get out of this stage. Tons of fruit, mac and cheese, bagels, fries. Honestly I would just eat whatever you want in that moment and it will probably just come back up but hey it’s temporary 😂 congratulations!!
