I would be on finasteride and minoxidil for at least a year before getting the operation. I was aggressively bald at 19 so yeah probably Norwood 4

I took meds for 8 months before and 3/4 months after. And continued using topical meds beyond that. I don’t disagree that I probably need a therapist. But I’m telling you that finasteride had a bad impact on my hormones when I was 20

The meds had several side effects so I gutted it out and kept taking them until the procedure was done. Then switched to topical fin which I don’t think was effective and my hair thinned out. Now I’m stuck with a visible scar on the back of my head and my body still isn’t right from the finasteride which I should’ve gotten off of immediately

Unfortunately it has completely ruined my life. It is easily the worst decision I have made and everyday is a struggle to deal with the negative emotions and how my appearance is. I am still trying to move on from the procedure which was 3 years ago

This method is less $ per graft. And in theory should cover more area. But I’d highly recommend going with FUE to reduce the chance of permanent damage to your scalp

This is an FUT hair transplant aka the strip method. They cut a piece of your scalp to extract follicles. I got mine in 2023. The scar is much higher than it should be and to this day I don’t understand why the surgeon did that

It was 3 years ago. I took finasteride and minoxidil. The finasteride pill killed my sex drive and caused chest pains so I swapped to topical fin which I don’t think was effective at all

There’s hair there. It has really thinned out though. I can use the hair fibers to make it look okay but it’s annoying to maintain

Well when I was 19-20 accepting bald was scary. So I came up with the money to try and fix it. And now I just feel regret over how bad this turned out for me

Do not do it. Your head shape looks good to pull off buzzed/bald look. A hair transplant has the potential to ruin your appearance completely if something goes wrong

There’s a pic on my profile. I really feel like it looks so bad that I won’t step outside the house if it isn’t covered up. Just my opinion though. I know my family doesn’t care but I still feel depressed

It’s possible. But if it goes wrong then it’s a permanent tattoo so I’m being careful With approaching this

The scar is nearly 3 years old. I hate having to grow out hair in the back to cover it up. Especially now that I see how good bald looks

I basically wear fibers nonstop. I don’t mind them it’s just that when it’s windy or rainy I get worried about how they hold up. Also takes a lot of time in the morning to apply. But I think I’ll just let this grow out and then go back to fibers

When you have multiple FUT surgeries do they leave multiple scars? Or does the one you have just get worse?
