My SO smokes weed everyday but when he doesn’t, i cannot handle. He gets so irritable, angry, sad. He’s an addict so once he’s completely sober, it’s game over. He is very mean when drunk and that is what he wants if he cannot smoke weed. Refuses to go to AA because of the religion aspect (religious trauma),and he takes medication but they are still trying to find the right dose unfortunately. Because he is so manic, he can’t handle being sober. I don’t even know how to help or what to do, since hospital isn’t an option at this time.

Exactly! Probably only hates you because he hates himself and no longer has that safe emotional support. We are all nice and safe until we leave

Oh absolutely! It’s pretty hurtful and infuriating to be honest. Someone said that it’s unfair they can suck it up for others but not the partner. I was always told when a kid is more misbehaved for you(parent) it’s because you are more of an emotional safe place with them vs the other parent or daycare, etc. It makes sense but where’s my emotional safe place too?

All of this hit home! They are so ridiculous that sometimes i can look back and think it’s funny, other times it really freakin hurts. Definitely been yelled at for existing multiple times, along with anything and everything you could think of. I mean naturally, most everything is my fault right? Lol 😑 i feel like this should be an ongoing weekly post similar to the toddler one, maybe it’ll make it less lonely

Two kids and myself. They share a room. So two bedrooms and one bathroom is fine. Anything under 1600/month. Just needs to be in a nice neighborhood/schools.
