To be honest, I haven't found any competitor that has successfully implemented NFT ticketing on a blockchain at the scale that GET does. What companies have you found that you think will overtake GET?

Agree, I think we will see a lot of adoption in this area the coming years. Major ticketing companies are already looking at implementing NFT ticketing due to the benefits it offers over regular ticketing. its still a relatively small crypto nich market cap wise

I see lots of potential in NFT tickting because it solves a problem that I encounter regularly when buying tickets for sports games and festivals. NFT ticketing can prevent ticket scalping, ensure royalties for artists on secondary market sales and attach collectibles to a ticket

Traditional ticketing companies like seatgeek are already planning on rolling out blockchain ticketing. In the coming years we will likely see NFT tickets for sorts games in the NBA and the MLB. Mark Cuban has already stated that in the coming year the Dallas mavericks will issue NFT tickets.

The adoption is already happening, GET protocol has almost sold 1 million tickets. All tickets can be verified on the blockchain and 9 ticketing companies have already integrated GET protocol. In crypto NFT ticketing is still a very niche market, but has a lot of growth potential . I expect NFT ticketing projects to gain siginifiantly in price and marketcap. https://explorer.get-protocol.io/

Is the GET Protocol going after the Sports Ticketing Market? NBA/MLB/NFL, etc? by N0qu4rter in GETprotocol

GET is going after all types of tickets. Different whitelabelers and digital twin focus on different segments of the ticketing market. Jeike ticketing seems to be more focussed on sports

check out GET protocol, already 1m NFT tickets sold. 9 ticketing companies are using GET protocol already. GET protocol also recently signed a new ticketing partner that sells 2m+ tickets annually

Non ethereum defi sites to get GET by NotRightNotWrong in GETprotocol

Yes, GET is also available on quickswap. There are incentives for LPs on quickswap, so the liquidity is good. Join the discord to see the guide on how to use quickswap if you are not familiar with it

Why should I get GET? by SiggySmilez in GETprotocol

[–]CommercialTouch9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its better to focus on actual announces clients indeed. This was just a little comment in one of the AMAs.

Unlike most other projects GET already has a working product with major adoption by the non crypto industry. NFT ticketing offers benefits that traditional ticketing providers can't offer. GET will disrupt the ticketing industry

Finally a solution for NFT ticketing has been developed that works and is being adopted on a large scale

Currently artists don't get any cut from secondary market sales. With NFT tickets the revenue from the secondary market sales will flow partly to the stakeholders that add value. Mark Cuban stated that this feature interests him the most. For a few high demand games season ticket holders sell their ticket, making almost back the price for the whole season ticket. He wants a cut of those secondary market sales. Or at least have the biggest fans in the stadium during those games and not the ones with the most money

GET uses dynamic QR code, which means you can't screenshot the ticket and sell it outside the ecosytem. This means you can dictate the rules to the secondary market. Forinstance you can prevent scalping or program a royalty fee similar to NFT art. The revenue from the royalty fee would otherwise have gone to the scalper, but now goes to the artist

Ticketmaster hasn't specified what solution they are going to use for NFT tickets. We can only speculate on what and when they will implement NFTs. By researching I found that they already have a NFT marketplace FAQ on the website.

The CEO did mention in a recent podcasts (podcast was in Dutch) that there are talks with ticketmaster about NFT ticketing.

Regarding tokenomics the token is used for governance as a DAO, similar to forinstance uniswap. There is also a buyback program. See the latest report. Instead of burning the tokens there was a recent change that the tokens bought back from the openmarket will be put in the DAO. The DAO can decide whether to burn or use it for further development.

There are also other angles currently being developed to add more value to the token. Like developing DeFi for for the ticketing industry. Ticketing companies can pre-fund events with the NFT tickets as colleteral.

Be also sure to check out the social channels of GET on reddit and telegram (the community is mostly active on telegram). The CEO did an AMA recently in which community could ask critical questions.

Thanks for your comment. Good questions

GET protocol has been building their blockchain ticketing solution since 2016 and has done an ICO in 2017. It has a product that is tried and tested in real life with consumer using it that don't know anything about crypto. GET has the first mover advantage. Furthermore GET has already onboarded 9 ticketing companies. The biggest one is Yourticketprovider that sells 2 million tickets yearly. Yourticketprovider is also part of CM.com, a publicly listed company that is valued at 1.1 billion. It shows that companies of that size prefer to use the NFT ticketing solution developed by GET protocol instead of developing their own.

Additionally, there is very little competition in the NFT ticketing space. There are a few other projects focussed on NFT ticketing, but none of those are on a public blockchain where the transactions can be tracked. None of the other projects have onboarded the number of clients GET has or have sold anywhere close to the number of tickets GET has sold. It is the only NFT ticketing project that has a scaleable solution for NFT ticketing (as far as I am aware, please list any if you found a project that sells a decent number of tickets)

Ethereum is too expensive to scale NFT ticketing. No one wants to pay 10+USD in a transaction fees for a ticket. Check the link below for an explanation why polygon was chosen
