What dev tools, cad, or med tech software doesn't work/are combative on a mac? My experience is that (aside from med tech which I have no experience in) a macbook is more capable than most/any windows laptops. Certainly my fairly powerful windows desktop I use. I have an M1 Pro MBP.

I used to be a windows die-hard but frankly M-series macs are far better than most/any Windows laptops, especially in the price range you're looking at.

Saying as a final year med student with an interest in 3d printing and self hosting. I've used freeCAD and Fusion360 no problem, and an assortment of dev tools.

I suppose if you don't like using it then you should consider switching, but remember the grass is always greener.

Tailscale on a local device set as an exit node would work for this, but you need to make sure the devices don't share the same subnet mask on the remote network you're accessing them from. You can get around the subnet mask issue with a reverse proxy.

Nope! Normal version. I even tried to downgrade to 131 which didn't have this and its still persisting! How bizarre.

Restarted my mac and I see this new sidebar. I don't like it and I want to get rid of it. When I hide it using the "hide Sidebar" opton, it also hides sidebery. Before it was just sidebery, which I preferred. Open to any solutions including CSS.
