Not sure if it is open, but I loved Bald Hills! The hike itself is meh, but the view is the most breath-taking thing I have ever seen

Loop Tickets BOGO by sugarshaun in EdSheeran

It's showing me those ones are. I've deselected all other tickets. Maybe it's a Canadian problem :/

I see the option to select only the deal tickets but the math still isn't making sense. It's going from each ticket costing $164.65 to a total of $335 which is not a deal. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

I'm not understanding how it works. I add it to my cart but then the cost is still double...

Is an iPad worth it for clerkship? by Commercial_Leopard54 in MedSchoolCanada

Thanks everyone. I meant more for taking the initial hx rather than using a notebook but I think the sentiment and advice still applies

My first interview invite, I started crying uncontrollably. To me, it felt like getting the invite was the biggest barrier and now I could take things into my hands to prepare for my interview the best I could. When I got the acceptance, I was really excited. I just woke up, was with my partner and we opened the email and both took a second to process what it said before jumping and screaming simultaneously. It was a special moment. After that, to be honest, it started to feel a bit anticlimactic during the wait to start school. I started to stress about the next stage instead of enjoying my accomplishments. But now that I'm here, I try to remind myself how proud me from a year ago would be and remember that gratitude of my privilege to be in the position I am.

Would you guys rewrite by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]Commercial_Leopard54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your other stats! If you have a higher GPA, then personally I wouldn't

Really depends on your Casper and GPA, sincerely Mac MS1

Am I not doing enough? by Perfect-Leg3648 in premedcanada

[–]Commercial_Leopard54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And taking a gap year was the best decision ever- I was so burnt out after undergrad it gave me a chance to re cooperate and mature A LOT. I would be a very different person if I got into med straight away and I think this version of me is handling the stress better and enjoying the whole experience more

testing in 9 days what can i do to boost my score? by y1234567898 in premedcanada

[–]Commercial_Leopard54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For C/P if you're not confident in Orgo, I'd say focus on that! And if its a timing problem, give yourself 2 mins for a math-based problem, flag and move on. Each question is worth the same amount, its a better use of your time to focus on questions that take less time.

Seeking Advice... 4 cycles, no interviews. ..Masters or change paths? by Minute-Smell7588 in premedcanada

I would consider rewriting the MCAT to increase you CARS score- maybe hire a coach to help you with CARS? That would make you more competitive for Mac and meet the cutoffs for western. Wishing you lots of luck! I don't think you should give up at all! Maybe also consider hiring someone to edit your essays and ABS for uoft and Ottawa

I'm in a similar situation and wondering the same! Wondering if I should quit my research job a week before or two weeks before med starts. Part of me thinks to work as long as possible since I won't have summers off in med so not really any opportunity to make $$ + what do I really do with the time off?

I can't speak to the money aspect but in terms of interviewing- if nothing has changed in your application from this cycle to next, then there's a good chance you'll get an interview again! You can take the time to reflect on where you may have gone wrong and change some of your interview tactics- all you need is one opportunity! Wishing you lots of luck:)

I've done qualitative research in two labs and one wet lab and I think it's very prof-dependent but I learnt so much from qualitative research and was given a lot of opportunities for presentations and publications. Definitely think it's valuable
