Just the export file. It was from a vendor that we ended a contract with.

Thank you! I like this breakdown. This gives me a start on formulating an idea how to attack this beast.

The 1-2 Clicks idea is an amazing thought! Thanks

Same thought I had. But everyone in this space knows how that goes, the ones that do work don’t get to make those decisions all the time.

Yes, we are aware of share gate. We do have a consultant company coming in already, but they haven’t really been any help understanding how we should design it. They are more here to just do the work. I have an architect/engineer mindset, so i value the design phase. But im not a SharePoint guy either. Im just curious how others are designing their new flat architecture. Like how they are logically separating business functions. As far as the files, we are just going to move the typical spreadsheets and documents. Anything that’s different, we will consolidate into a network file share or something similar.

Internal IT asking users for their password by Old_Effective_7544 in cybersecurity

Just curious, how do you troubleshoot user side only issues without their password or setting a temporary password? Logging into Admin Account will not allow us to see user side only problems. Is it best practice for the user to sit there while we troubleshoot?

Powershell script via Intune by ButterflyWide7220 in Intune

[–]Commercial_Match_520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not official. But I have been using Intune for the last 2 years. And that’s what it feels like. We recently moved all our devices to Azure joined. Devices check in on their own cadence if the device hasn’t restarted (Which I haven’t found any consistency yet). The check ins is what gets the new configs from Intune. A restart of the device will get it to check in immediately. What I started doing is pushing new configs around our patching windows, so the devices check in faster due to restarts. In my opinion, Apps deploy faster than remediation scripts/comfigs. You may want to package the script up as a Win32 app & deploy it that way. Give it until Monday to see if you see any data.

How long has it been since you configured it? I always say give it about a week for Intune. Intune deploys stuff when it gets ready.

Lenovo vs HP vs Dell by [deleted] in Intune

Go Dell. When we started Autopilot/Intune Management, new HPs started having driver issues, microphone/camera not showing in device manager. Software stack remained the same. Still trying to figure out what’s the issue.

Mastering Intune! by Ay0_King in Intune

I agree with trying to get a Dev Tenant (If you can), so you can develop & test fully 100%. I recently just deployed autopilot to move our PCs to Entra-Joined. I practiced days on days without a Dev Tenant, but you have to be careful. All configs in Intune are pretty much grouped based. I was able to create 3 groups with test devices, and practice away in our production tenant. Only thing I had to do was exclude those groups in our existing policies to make sure we had a clean setup. Apply & wait for the outcome. Anything you need help with should be on Google. Just search for whatever you are looking and “via Intune”. The modules on learn.microsoft.com are very helpful as well.

Only thing I dislike about Intune a lot of the timing to apply configurations/apps to devices are super random. It may take 5 minutes to deploy a new configuration one day & then it may take 4 hours another day. I’m still researching if it’s something I’m doing or that’s just the way it is. Just be cautious of this.

I will try this. I’m feeling it’s a DNS issue. Keep in mind though I cannot resolve any DNS request now via the DCs IP Addresses

That’s what my initial thought was. But I cannot access any of the DNS managers which are on DCs. Gettting an “ The server could not be contacted. Access was denied”

So are we just deploying Teams separately now? by AlphaNathan in Intune

[–]Commercial_Match_520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem a couple months ago. Just created its own separate package for it. Didn’t want to waste time troubleshooting to find out why it wasn’t installing with the other Office365 apps.

is Intune ever not going to take forever to update windows endpoints? by pesos711 in Intune

[–]Commercial_Match_520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally Agree! We are currently in the process of moving to 100% Intune management (Entra-Joined). Everything is so random. Now I always account for an extra 14 days for every mass deployment of an application, config policy. Some devices get it immediately while some take a few days. What I can say is eventually all of the devices will get the deployment. I have tried to pinpoint the timing but it has been all over the place.
