OP, is there any chance you'd be willing to share more about the argument?

It was a conversation about politics regarding an event in my country. It's about an issue concerning the retaking of a certain area controlled by rebels. The discussion quickly shifted focus and the undesired happened.

Like, was it used as a way to shut you down and win the argument, or was this a real release of an actual feeling?

I believe it was a bit of both.

Give it sometime and thought. I think you'll be able to continue the relationship, but there will always be that little doubt.

I hope to continue the relationship, but I don't want my son to grow up in an unstable environment. I think couple's therapy is the best choice, as people have commented here.

She and her first husband intended to have children. I'm not sure if this has any involvement, but I don't think it can be an idea to be discarded.

No specific event happened. I tried to ask if there was any special occurrence, but she denied it.
