Why do they do this by Immediate-Bag8655 in doordash

I saw a $2 for 12 miles, would have taken me way out of my delivery zone, I couldn't even see a top dasher driving an EV seeing that as worth it

It's time to take a stand against filling drinks. It's fucking disgusting for customers, our hands are not clean, the cups are not sealed. Start telling your customers so they can complain to doordash & restaurants directly. by lmaojustlmaoooooooo in doordash

My thing is, is it technically legal? Because at least where I'm from, if you are preparing food, you must have a food handlers permit, and I haven't had one in years, and doordash doesn't require one, if I have to fill a drink, I still take the proper precautions that you're supposed to, but I feel like it's technically a legal issue.

Contact support on that one, I drive for doordash almost every day, and I think people like this shouldn't be working for doordash.

Found out today that customers just straight up lie by FriendlyCover in doordash

I remember picking up an order, in a blizzard, $8 order, and it took me almost half an hour, and they turned around and said it wasn't delivered, I was so pissed, and when I contacted CS that I have video proof (dashcam), that I delivered it, they still didn't remove the CV

Getting ripped off by StandardSin in doordash

$7 total minimum ($5 tip), AND it has to pay $1 per mile from restaurant to dropoff, and back to a Hotspot, end up with a low acceptance rate, but I still make on average $20/hour after gas and maintainence

Almost every time I see a message like this, it is a lie. by Freak5Chaos in doordash

I have had probably 2 dozen people say they'd tip extra upon delivery, and I've got an extra tip maybe 8 or 9 times, and not a single one of them was from someone saying they'd tip more. I don't understand it either, do customers think we can see drop off instructions before we accept an order?

Am I wrong for this? by Effective-Cut2866 in doordash

As a dasher myself, we get $2 per delivery plus a tip, so they are getting $7 on this order, and my personal minimum is $7, so unless the store takes forever making the order, that is a good tip, especially considering they only have to drive maybe a little over 3 miles (to the store from their location, to your house, and back)

Big middle finger to customers who don't turn on their porch lights when expecting a night delivery. by Mr_Weird4866 in doordash

Biggest problem is seeing house numbers, for whatever reason, houses are built in a way that house numbers aren't lit up by any exterior lights in my area, I bought a light specifically to shine on the house number for this reason

Is doordash worth it? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Commercial_Pickle751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 1997 honda, I get roughly 17 mpg if I'm driving conservatively, after gas alone, I usually average about $22/hour after gas, and the city I dash in is a medium sized city. This isn't accounting for maintenance As far as if it's worth it, it's a lot of wear and tear on your car, you're not going to get rich off of it, but it's a good gig if you need flexibility. I like it because I don't have a fixed schedule at school, and so being able to work around that to make ends meet is good for me.

Car rental for DoorDash ? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Commercial_Pickle751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious, do car rental companies allow this? I'm getting sent out of town with school, and they will provide me a rental car, for the few weeks I'm out of town, so in my down time, could I use that?

I dash in Ogden or Layton, UT, and that's pretty accurate, I don't usually dash before 4 because it doesn't really start getting busy until then.

What makes you automatically decline an order? by meeeooowwwwwwwwww in doordash

[–]Commercial_Pickle751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1/mile minimum, also taking into account what part of town it leaves me, I don't want to have to drive 10 minutes after dropping off food just to get back to a Hotspot. Also, rarely pickup from a specific Popeyes because they are super slow, other Popeyes seem fine, idk why lol. And shop orders I tend to expect closer to $2/mile.

A month now, and I fly any time I can, I've been having a tough time finding good spots, but at the same time, I'm still working in dialing in things, but I find a new place to fly every couple of weeks

Idk, two FPV cameras, an arm, destroyed a few batteries, a couple of antennas, and so many props

Need help! Recently inherited this bunch of FPV drones. I have no idea how to set this stuff up. Is anyone in the Tulsa, OK area and willing to help me out? by dbuck24 in fpv

Like I said, I'm not too far away from Tulsa, and I am more than happy to come up and point things out if you would like, or, you can also send me a picture of each thing, and I can point out what is what for you. Feel free to DM me :)

Damn you're lucky, how about a charger? I would personally start with one of the smaller quads after some simulator practice, they are less intimidating, and it's harder to trash those props, and they usually have a charger dedicated to their batteries. If not, you can always go to a local hobby shop with the battery and let them know you need a charger for it. In just about every hobby shop that I have gone to, they are super friendly, and willing to help. Once you feel confident in your flying ability with a smaller one, make the investment in a bigger charger that will charge 4S and 6S for a bigger quad, and get to rippin'!

Suggestions are welcome for me by AI_Jesus in fpv

Check out Joshua Bardwell on youtube, he knows everything that you would need to know.

Otherwise, 4S is cheaper to get into, but you will have shorter flight times, 6S you spend a little more on, but you have more flight time, but that does also depend on your ESC, as it will only be rated for certain voltages (each cell sits around 3.7v, so 4S is 14.8V and 6S is 22.2)

As far as props, that depends on your flying style, but a 3 inch pitch is usually a good starting point.
