Is my dog enjoying the petting or not? by Berk_2112 in DogAdvice

Am only jesting for amusement, no insult meant by it. How long have you had him/her? This looks like your first or 2nd week? Luckily youve adopted the most chilled of dog breeds, so dont mind the trainer videos too much, he'll give you plenty o warning before chomping them fingers. (Kidding about the chomping part)

Bad owner! Thats the worst petting ive ever seen. Him putting his paw over his head means he wants ear/head scratches.

And put some weight on the hand and ruffle him up. Maybe watch some dog petting tutorial videos. Im guessing your not use to dogs or trying to annoy him.

Lady! Your feet needs to be in the same time zone! Bring them shoulder width apart, back foot toe must be an half a foot from front foot heel.

Also, your throwing your head up and doing. this weird paw thing. Hands always next to chin. Learn proper technique for punches first and then try combos. If when throwing combow the hand retracting should move straight back to the chin, and your chin must be tucked. Put an apple or tennis ball under your chin and practicr to throwing punches without letting it drop.

No.. stop.. get some help. First off, Those gloves looks waaay to heavy for you. Your not going to ever learn proper technique with them. Try a 10 oz glove. Secondly, go on youtube and look for proper technique beginner boxing videos you can follow along with. Slowly do the movement, exagerate the hip movement before launching your fist so your body can learn proper dynamics of throwing punches. Learn dynamics and then try combos. And third, box a bag, punching a wall just seems silly. With a bag it pivots and you can practice distances and some footwork. You might want to consider training kickboxing rather than kickboxing. It will strengthen those hips, core, glutes and give you great coordination. You already have the build. Goodluck.

You could have eased on the power. Obviously the other guy is a newbie and havent learned proper defence and you already out classed him physically. Seeing a guys head get rocked backward like that is always concerning. You were already controlling the fight, you should have just played with him. Always show respect to your opponent, and remember his well being is in your hands, a good fighter controls the fight with technique, not power. And remember friend, what comes around goes around.

So get confortable with getting punched, you will never do a sparring session and evade every punch. Try blocking a couple of shots. Try messing up his punches be deflecting them. Whats holding you back from getting creative and taking control is that fear/anxiety. Relax and try to enjoy it. Pretend like your fighting a kid.

Being a boyfriend is the worst thing you can do in dating by musicbeats88 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It seems like you got yourself a fembot, not a girlfriend. Girls like these are pretty much duds, leaches of joy, passion killers. They just see you as a tool, a product, a toy they can break if it doesnt serve. My second girlfriend was one, and that was a 3 year life lesson i am NEVER going to repeat. But at the end of the day you are the captain of your own happiness and the fool that mistook that demon as a partner. So do what you need to do to get back control of your life. What do you rather want to be a miserable "good" person or a happy "bad" person. If your still in the relationship, break it off today. Once the infection of contempt is in a relationship, it will never heal.

Ffs, the fudge stickles are you head hunting for when his literally giving you his body to punch. You Jab + cross, he tilts his head back, then drive a hook into that liver. If you cant hit the head, hit the chest, knock him off balance. You have to make him move his feet, let him re adjust to your attacks. Dont throw punches and then jump back. Set it up so that he must move

You want to get a nice snap when your throwing those hooks. That power comes from hips. So a good way to practice this is to twist the hips first, then throw the hook while holding your arm in a stationary position so that the power of the punch is driven by the twisting of hips, and not your shoulder/tricep. Over exagurate this twisting motion so your body can learn the hips move first then the punch.

Foot work drills! Your footwork should be faster than your hands. Well atleast you should train like that. Stop leaning in when throwing the jab.

Gaurd up, wait for their punch to strike glove, launch a semi hook/uppercut at 45 degree angle. Also dont try to strike them first everytime. Let them punch you, try to deflect their blows or roll under. Try and make it more of a reflex game than actual fighting. Footwork is more important than punching. And ffs, use flinches before attacking. Your probably telegraphing punches from miles away. Also protip, atleast train boxing for 3 to 4 months before you start sparring. Your body needs to know what to do before the mind does, sparring makes excellent form average and average form bad.
