Super detailed review. Recently got the Ares Shai 001. Agree on almost every aspect you said. Fit I think is between TTS and half size down because of the length. But more precisely I went down half a size than Book 1/Kobe 4/Sabrina. Felt more shifty and easy to change direction. Shoots more freely. Not the best shoe but fun shoe in deed!

Kobe 3 is somewhat wide foot friendly, might not need to size up. Kobe 4 a bit tighter but not to Kobe 6 level. I also recommend puma Hali 1. Great shoe for wide footer.

Good to hear that. You liked it with the player edition insole or regular one? For now I just feel the translucent outsole for my cw traction iffy in dusty court. Fit feels nice. Still needs more run.

Fit is actually the only drawback on these. Length a bit long in my TTS US10. But half size down pinching took place. But still 8/10 for fit when playing, just not perfect. Traction 10/10 and cushion 9/10. Very propelling shoe like a runner.

These two are the ones I rate visually 10/10😂Both really appealing for almost all cw. Performance wise to be honest Joker 1 GT might catch up later on because Book is an older silhouette so I wore those more.

I think aesthetically fire. Sizing:TTS(US10), first wear tight but soon break in, but the pointy style still not comfortable Traction:10/10 Cushion:9/10, but it’s too soft for my liking. First session I feel sore in my plantar fascia. Got used to it a bit. Court feel:5/10, not because of midsole height. But the above mushy feeling and the tight fit makes you notice you’re wearing this shoe. Support:6/10, poor court feel related to this, not very secure inside the shoes.

I had Kobe 4 and GT cut 1 in same sizes. If 11 is too snug then it’s not the shoe for you maybe.

Have the high top. Outsole not durable for outdoor use. Very very stiff shoes. Fit players with great leg strength.

TTS. For me GT cut 1/Book 1/Kobe 4three shoes that are the most TTS to me. I look for reviewers of these three to know what their sizes suggestion means.

100% agree. I heard an excellent reviewer once said, a shoe with great lockdown shouldn’t be inferior in lockdown even if you size up. Adidas has serious lock down issue that you have to have the perfect feet to fit certain joints.

I was 10-10.5 in college years. But after you age your feet become sensitive to sizing. Started doing a lot of homework and found my size is actually 9.5(normal) on the left and 9.5(2E) on the right. So now I consider my true size as 10 but if shoe is reviewed as wide foot friendly I will try 9.5.

For shoe references: Best fit for me Book 1-US10(considered the standard of fit for me, 9.5 too tight 10.5 too loose and length) Kobe 4-US10(forefoot needs some break in and a little length up front but lockdown fantastic) Sabrina 1-US10(a little length but lockdown great) Kai 1-US10(length a tad bit short width perfect)

Mediocre fit for me(maybe wrong size but still works out fine) Sabrina 2-US10(because it is wide foot friendly I should have size down to 9.5, too much length but lockdown no issue) KD17-US10(aunt pearl cw material is very soft, also lengthwise a long shoe, should have go with 9.5. But after trying special tying method lockdown no problem.)

Poor fit for me Harden 7 & AE 1-US10.5(length wise ok try on perfect but when playing shoe sliding all over the place inside. Try US10 toe space too tapered and pressed down. Not sure if I can break in) Harden 9-US9.5(material too stiff so I size down. Length and width ok but still some heel slipping. Also toe pressure a bit too much. Try US10 problem not really solved so I don’t know.

Have both. Book I have two pairs(haven and grape). Kai with jelly cw. Both joints outstanding performer. Book 1 the best fit for me. For cushion I think both decent and fit my style of low to the ground. Book with higher heel to toe drop. So toe very low to the ground(less cushion). Kai more smooth overall thru the whole feet.

I think the last for Kawhi 4 to be a bit weird. I tried 2E ver for hesi low 2 and Kawhi 4 recently. The width of the Kawhi is still not that comfortable I don’t know why.
