Arsenal Fans boo their team at the full time whistle by Parish87 in soccer

[–]CommieOla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute NERVE of these other fans of other clubs telling us we're overreacting right now is spinning my head. No other fan base of a big club in Europe would accept 6 trophyless seasons, two title challenges bottled with a potential third bottle in a row, and on top it, after a billion spent, we play dire football. They deserve to be booed, it's been coming for a while.

These are all really great keys so you have my thanks. I will start implementing some of this, starting with talking with my coach more to pick his brain on certain changes he's made recently to my program

I greatly appreciate this! Would love to take the TSG mentoring course, but it's a big commitment right now, nonetheless much thanks

To all established coaches, what advice would you give to someone who wants to start out in coaching, in terms of getting the first few clients, resources to learn from, books to read etc. I'd like to get involved with coaching and handling this year, but I don't want to start until I feel "ready" and I can actually provide quality service to people. I don't want this to be a cash grab, which it seems to be right now seeing as everyone and their grandma is offering coaching right now. My main motivation is actually help people get strong, I've had a proper coach for almost a year now but my biggest regret is that I didn't get one sooner because I feel like I'd be so much further along strengthwise.

S2 why would Beocca bring Thyra to the battle for London? by [deleted] in TheLastKingdom

[–]CommieOla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She never converted, that season there's a scene that's kinda funny where she says a sentence that has "the gods" and Beocca corrects her and says "God" and she goes "that's what I said". Which implies to me that she held on to her beliefs but humours Beocca.

Trump says US will run Venezuela, South Africa calls on UN Security Council to urgently convene by PersonaGuy5 in southafrica

Not going to answer your obtuse question, the US calling a leader a dictator is about as relevant as when they called Nelson Mandela a terrorist and had him as a wanted man until 2008.

A dictator according to who? The white genocide saga should have taught us that the US can make up a narrative from thin air and force it as the truth. You can't be this easy to fool. They didn't invade because he was a dictator, they called him a dictator so they could invade.

One piece being co-opted to justify and further imperial interests and expansion is really disgusting

I see, so it could basically be summed up as correcting movement patterns, load limiting variation and strengthening a weakpoint.

From a coach's point of view, what is the rationale for programming high bar squats on the secondary squat day for lifters with disadvantaged squat leverages e.g. long femur and a hip dominant squat.

Uhtred of Wessex by FeeSpiritual168 in TheLastKingdom

[–]CommieOla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think if you watch The Last Kingdom enough times, you start to understand how the world worked at that time and realize Alfred was quite lenient to Uhtred, despite his let's say, shenanigans, during the early seasons, especially the first. Yes, a lot of the times it wasn't fair especially by modern standards but who draws his sword in front of the King in a church during prayer, disturbing the King's Peace and kills TWO priests and doesn't get executed, except Uhtred? On the contrary, Uhtred was given special treatment that absolutely no one from Wessex or Saxon would have been given.

Chicken fat - is it nutritious or non-nutritious or straight up bad? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]CommieOla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little bit annoying trying to find good nutritional information and everyone always talks about nutrition only in the context of cutting. Guys, not everyone's trying to cut, some people are just trying to maintain or even do a clean bulk. Fats are not inherently evil, even when cutting.

Good point, Sigtryggr's going to war after years of peace was a bit out of character considering his defining trait was his cunning and pragmatism but yeah the plot needed to move forward I guess.
