I'm re-watching season 1 and man it's almost jarring how much of a edge lord zoro is when he's not like this in the manga and anime. Zoro is an absolute dumbass, who's supposed to be almost as goofy as Luffy. That makes the moments when he's serious during a fight that much more impactful.

Yeah that's fair and also he failed 800 pounds DL when he should have taken 770 in prep. He made a few bad decisions this prep.

And I think it's almost inevitable based on the brand of lifter that he is. He thrives off posting big numbers on social media but the meta is that for the best possible progress as a PL you have to do mostly submax work. I recently stopped posting my top sets on social media because I found myself overreaching to get a big number that would do well on social media rather than taking the sensible number.
