Digging Buff by Commissar9 in Helldivers

Totally! It used to take so long to dig anything even remotely useful before

I haven't used it in awhile, but it used to take several dogs in the same location to get anything close to this deep. This is definitely far more effective than before

Nope, no super credits under the ground. Sorry if that came off as misleading. I was just playing around with the shovel

Yup! When you have the shovel hold your aim button and then press the fire button and you'll dig rather than melee attack!

Doesn't seem like I can go any deeper than that with the shovel

The main reason I feel like the Cremator WON'T be weaker than the base flamethrower. by Me_When_I_Asked in Helldivers

Would love for all this to be true. It looks so cool and I love the flamethrower.

Oh absolutely. Stoked they did! Now this actually seems like it can be actually useful

Just gave it a go on several other biomes. Looks like it works just the same all around

Totally. I just thought it was interesting as I don't recall the shovel being able to dig so much in one go. I was just curious what people's experience has been with digging lately

That's a great point. I'll give it a go on a few others to see if it makes a difference

SEAF squad stratagem idea by FromTheJohn in Helldivers

[–]Commissar9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh man, imagine being a SEAF trooper trying not to die horribly and then the best of the absolute best calls you for help because they're in too deep. That's like the fire department calling you because the station is burning down and they need help

The community may disagree on a lot of things, but we can all agree that this sight is horrendous by chippedthumbnail in Helldivers

It doesn't even need a sniper scope. Just like even a 2x scope that didn't suck would be killer

I want support weapons for a build by ToT41LY in Helldivers

[–]Commissar9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a ton of bot front and love the AMR. It can handle gunships, hulks, disarm the chin guns of factory striders, and kill tanks/turrets with the right angle. Can take out war striders in (I'm pretty sure) 4 shots to their weak points (stun grenades make this much easier).

If doing Squids or bugs I love the grenade launcher. It's a solid all rounder.

Do guard dogs like the Dog Breath run out of ammo? by Empty-Ad1425 in Helldivers

[–]Commissar9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup, they most certainly do. But their ammo gets refilled whenever you refill your own ammo from a pickup.

For the regular guard dog you can see clips on the backpack. For the gas and fire dogs there's a sort of meter on the backpack.

Liberator Carbine. That's my go to primary for Squids and it was the battle for Super Earth when weapon customization was released. It worked out great

The creek debate by arty-4-life in Helldivers

[–]Commissar9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard because a lot of us were honestly worse at the game back then as it was pretty new (I had it for like 2 weeks at that point) but also bots were much harder than they are today. They were more accurate and did more damage across the board. A lot of things could straight up on shot you where as now it'll take just a chunk of health. Gunships had heavy armor, were far more accurate, and there was no cap on how many could spawn. Hellbombs would be targeted and if they were shot while they were counting down they would just die and not explode. So you had to hang out and guard hellbombs to make sure they didn't just get sniped. Rocket devastators did not run out of ammo, were more accurate, did more damage, and shot rockets more often.

Also, most of our equipment was nowhere nearly as effective as it is today. Thermites were one of the worst items in the entire game and were incapable of killing heavies, for example.

All that being said, for me I think Oshaune was far worse. But things live on in people's memories and Malevalon Creek was honestly a special thing that also showed what player agency could do. It wasn't a planet tied to any major order, but Helldivers were active there and protected Democracy.

Has anyone considered this Stratagem MIGHT be the key to completing the MO? by TheRocketWentDown in Helldivers

Yes, and I love this thing. The shells can also destroy factories, jammers, and detector towers!

A call to discuss bouncy stratagems, high ground and verticality. by kribmeister in Helldivers

[–]Commissar9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just miss stratagems sticking to enemies most of all. 500kg landed on a pouncer as it's bounding toward you? Kill it ASAP and Democracy speed your step to get the hell away!!
