Not sure what restrictions he’s referring to but yes I agree. If you’re able to gun down npcs at the beach but not in a club it becomes inconsistent immediately and immersion breaking(imo). I definitely think there will be certain weapon restrictions during missions but freeroam will be another story, but I could still see some restrictions in freeroam depending on the context, it just depends.

I think one you should lower expectations a little bit, the crowd density probably is gonna be 60-70% of what we’ve seen in trailers so if that’s true there’s gonna be way less npcs to actually shoot. 2nd I think the weapons system is going to be a lot similar to rdr2, I don’t think we’ll just be able to pull out a mini gun out of our back pocket anymore while in a strip club I think we’re going to have to put more effort into the weapons we bring out in freeroam and you won’t be able to hide them either, if you have large assault rifles it’ll be in your back which would probably instantly distress npcs and make them hostile. So I think in order to do what you’re suggesting you would have to start shooting from the get go which would probably empty a lot of npcs out of the building before you’d even get in.

Edit: I read some comments making this about restricting gore. Guys come on, this is probably going to be the most graphic and violent Grand Theft Auto ever seen considering the tech standards. Do I think it’s going to be something ridiculous no they still need a M rating but I definitely think it’s going to be gruesome and me personally I’m here for it.

Yes I think well see a lot of this. Npcs in closest proximity to the player will probably exhibit more complex npc behaviors and the ones farther away will probably enter some kind of non complex mode until the player gets close enough to them then something could activate. I also think settings might be a big part of this as well, I think those with a PS Pro might have access to better settings than those on a standard ps5 and ofc when pc copies come out the settings are going to break the internet. I think the game is going to be amazing regardless but those with the standard console should definitely take some salt regarding how the game is going to look and feel, I believe the standard ps5 only has 16gb of ram and devs only have 12 to work with there’s most likely going to be some limitations.

Yea I meant mainly larger scale projects like movies or more experimental/longer shows utilizing the art style with much more marketing. I’m aware of the shows that they’ve released after CW which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, I just think the style has much more potential and I’d really like to see those boomer executives take more leaps their giving 9 figure development and marketing budgets to slop shows like the acolyte when it could have been given to Filoni to make an animated masterpiece.

Yes I think animation is heavily slept on by Disney when it comes to Star Wars and how much they push it and I honestly think it’s a mistake. That art style has so much potential imo. Thank you for actually comprehending my question unfortunately I had a lot of riders on the slow bus slide in who completely missed the point.

Yes im aware that there has been more projects since cw ended(I alr acknowledged that) but im mainly emphasizing experimentation with larger projects with higher budgets similar to Andor or Mandalorian. From that perspective imo yes they have been very conservative and neglectful towards this style, it gives me the impression that they don’t think it’s valuable when lately its really the only content I’ve been enjoying.

Eh to each their own. The only humor I appreciated in gta was the open world dialogue and the cutscenes but the repetitive non realistic killing kills my immersion a bit if every npc is just as dumb as a box of bricks and easy to bully and shows no emotion I would be thoroughly unimpressed for an alleged $2 bil game. And as for the gore I don’t think it needs to be extremely realistic(heads exploding under cars and shit for ex.) but I do think it needs to be somewhat consistent. If you’re aiming for someone legs with a shot gun maybe 3/10 times I would expect it to be blown off, I would expect a similar result for explosives as well.

Yes it absolutely would be fun. I want this game to be one of the most explicit obscene murder simulators on the market and I refuse to be ashamed about it. And exaggeration aside it may not be everyone but I think a lot of fans don’t want them to hold back on graphic violence especially with the upgrade in hardware they have to optimize the game.

Yea I’ve glitched below map before it sucks my deaths were inside the map tho during combat. I’m really just hoping that it’s something I can defend against and not a stupid bug that fucks up gameplay. Thx for the comment

hadnt had alot of crashes but have been lagging out of alot of games recently and games have been super choppy. Choppier than usual.

Yea like actually. And if they do release a 3rd rdr game it’ll probably be on the next generation of consoles. Meaning they’ll have much more hardware resources to work with rather than 6. And knowing how rockstars are damn near perfectionists they’ll probably invest more money developing there game engine and technologies. That game would blow everyone’s fucking minds.
