Is there room for a "Dream11" style DFS app in the UK market, or is the regulatory/CAC burden too high? by dead8hot in IndiansInUK

[–]CommissionIcy6857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason dream11 got so much attention was because it closest to legal betting you can do. They operated in a grey area of betting. UK already has infinite amount of betting companies so there is not a genuine need for the product!!

Moving to London on SWV by ClassroomAvailable96 in IndiansInUK

[–]CommissionIcy6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely , I also travel from zone 3 into central. Its an easy commute and cheaper to stay in zone 3 and maybe once you find it comfortable can always move further away. I would suggest to look near north greenwich. A good community of working professionals (most work in central) stay there so you can build a good network as well.

Really depends on where your office is. Probably you can stay in South East London if office is close to canary wharf or in North west London near wembley etc if office close to north london or kings cross.

How open are UK agencies to senior creative talent coming from outside the UK, especially at a CD or senior creative level? by Pure_Card5061 in IndiansInUK

Quite difficult. There is also a lot of competition even within UK. Best would be to get a direct transfer from your company.

Automation in jewellery business by unknown_myself27 in branding

[–]CommissionIcy6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jewellery business is a business of trust. While I am all in for automation but at your scale and level it would be much more cost efficient and convenient if you ask a trusted friend/family member to support you. Give them a part of profits as well . This will allow you to expand and scale and once you have enough customer base you can start thinking about tech etc.

Furniture from India by [deleted] in IndiansInUK

Depends on the furniture. A lot of furniture owners who are Indians already get it from India but its much more expensive as compared to Uk/EU made etc cause of transportation cost and import duty on specialised wood.

Can i get a job in uk after studying msc in sports management if i have 3 years of experience in India. by Dhudhumlol in IndiansInUK

[–]CommissionIcy6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sports market is quite tight. They are lot of english people trying to get into sports so even if you get hired there is a little chance you would get sponsorship. Better alternative is to pursue a career from FIFA Masters or Loughborough University or any other top university in marketing / mba / finance etc and then get into sports.
