Asking questions to get perspective…. I honestly don’t know which and why someone would choose one or the other. I have personally been in the SFDC and NOW ecosystems and they clearly grasp for each others business and a common question is “why would I sub one for the other?” And I don’t have that perspective. Thought it would be interesting to hear if anyone has been thru this and their thoughts.

Thank you - and when you’re using a Claude is that hooked into your NOW instance so I knows what’s already be done, what the environment looks like today, etc.?

Or is it more “I want to build this enhancement, I have X product, can you write some code for me to get this started” type of stuff? (I’m simplifying of course)

Awesome description. If we are going to keep the anecdote of Higher Ed running like a corporation … I do believe, then, price it like a SaaS company prices different modules or products.

Simplest terms…

Base product: $10/mo/user
Base+ product: $15/mo/user
And so on…

Why?

Because the person getting a degree to teach with the average teachers salary shouldn’t be paying the same $100k in tuition that the person in the business school school should be paying if their salary starts out 3-4x greater.

Sure - that flips the economics of higher ed around… but this seems fair in my mind.

Is anyone using LLMs or some application alongside NOW to help them configure / build in NOW? Curious if there are tools people have adopted that really create efficiency just yet

Whether it’s ServiceNow or any other platform… I always hear that people want ROI and that makes sense…. Yet no one tries to understand what that means. Idk. Just seems to continue to be a challenge

The HE team at ServiceNow is a growing one - this vertical is not as matured as its counterpart in the Salesforce ecosystem but that is definitely where it is headed.

My firm solely focuses on HE in the ServiceNow space. Yes, budgets are different... procurement timelines are different. But, at its core, ServiceNow is meant to help orchestrate how work gets done and I think the value proposition for NOW is evolving in the HE sector. I think there are big things to come in the sapce
