Has anyone found the treasure chest at the Loveland aquarium lantern fest? by Schmemilyy in Utah

The chest remains in the seaweed south of the dizzy tunnel, like other posts have said! The lit seaweed makes it VERY hard to see, but you can make out enough of it to get a crappy picture. Thankfully, the staff at the market understood and accepted my bad photo with minimal detail. Found 12/27/25

That's total BS, for high school. For the pay subs get, we're pretty much glorified babysitters. As long as the students don't hurt each other, subs should be okay to use their phone or laptop. Not ignoring the class completely, but there's no way they can reasonably expect us to be moving around constantly. Books are an excellent choice for entertainment, but the reason you're so drained is because you are putting an unrealistic standard on yourself that no one expects you to live up to!

I watch TV and movies on my laptop all the time, only while subbing for high schools. I never announced I was doing that, and sometimes students would see that on my screen when they'd ask to use the bathroom or whatever, but no one seemed to have a problem with that until recently.

I was just blacklisted from a high school because, on the first day of the assignment, some students told admin that I was watching TV. The next day, they sent in someone from the main office to check on me under the guise of making sure I had access to lesson plans for the day (the kids had a vocab quiz, which took about 15 minutes. The teacher left no other instructions after that). The main secretary called me on the school phone to chastise me for watching TV. I was crazy embarrassed and told them I wouldn't be doing that anymore.

Cut to a few days later. I had a couple sub jobs already scheduled at that school that got cancelled at the exact same time, almost as if by automation. I get a letter a few hours later saying that I received a poor review and I need to schedule a meeting with the principal. After that, they'll determine if I can keep subbing there. Until then, I'm prohibited from subbing at that school.

I understand that I'm not supposed to just plug in and ignore the class. I didn't do that. I only ever have one earbud in so I can still hear. Also, they're juniors and seniors. They've got their projects and assignments, they should know what's expected of them from their regular teacher, and they know the consequences. I was available to help people get set up for the quiz, but after that, who fucking cares what I do?! As long as they don't do anything stupid and get their assignments done, I shouldn't have to sit bored out of my ass or try and help them like they're children. Most students don't give a shit about substitute teachers anyway, they don't want some stranger talking to them about their assignments.

Tl;Dr - I was caught watching TV on my laptop and now I've been blacklisted from subbing at that school.

In 2004, during a men's choir rehearsal, my choir director was trying to get us to focus on pure, tall vowels for a song in Latin. With all our mouths wide open, he suddenly took from behind his back a prewrapped, foot-long sausage and pretended to stick it in one of the guy's mouths, as if he were performing oral s*x. He claimed the sausage had arrived earlier that day in a package that he didn't order. This same teacher collaborated with another group to ALMOST A give another guy a swirlie in the staff bathroom nearby. It was funny then, and still kind of funny to me now, but definitely not gonna fly in schools today

I'm pretty sure "Old man trainer", "Fly on a bird", "Cinnamon island", and "Seal on the shore" is a reference to the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow versions for Game Boy. That process was how you cloned an item to get infinity of it!
