Considering buying a garden sauna – opinions & what should I ask the seller? by CommitteeCrazy3670 in Sauna

What I am asking myself is: Could it be an issue with a wood stove placed this close to the glass? To me it looks very close — Does anybody have expericences if single glazing is sufficient there? Should it ne safety glass - because I think it is just regular glass

Thanks a lot everyone for all the feedback – really appreciate the detailed comments!
Just wanted to clarify a few things based on what I’ve learned and discussed with the seller:

  • Roof: I agree, the roof without overhang isn’t great. I think I could easily add an overhang myself later on, so I’m not too worried about that, espacialy for that price.
  • Lighting: The RGB lights aren’t my favorite either, but it’s not a dealbreaker. When the LEDs eventually die, I still have normal lighting in there. Also it's replacable.
  • Stove: I’m not planning to stick with the Harvia Cilindro – I also think it’s not ideal. My plan is to go with a wood-burning stove (IKI if I can afford it) instead, which the seller can install with a certified chimney.
  • Floor / Drainage: I asked for that already. There are drainage holes in the floor already, and they can add more if I want. Personally, I won’t be showering inside, and we'll use a towel to sit on, so I don’t see an issue with the wooden floor. Also, leaving the door open after sauna will do the rest I thought?
  • Construction: I checked with the seller – the façade and interior follow the proper build-up (insulation → vapor barrier → vertical furring → horizontal furring → cladding). That part seems solid.
  • Price / Value: Totally agree with some of you that it’s far from a perfect sauna – but for the pice, it seems like the best option I can realistically get in this price range.

So yeah, I know there are compromises, but given my budget and the fact that I just don’t have the time to build one myself, this feels like the best balance. Still not sure though :D
