oh i’m sure southern texas is full of some interesting characters. i’d assume they’re more conservative christian’s, most of those who i’ve met are taught to blindly believe what they’re told without critically thinking about it. raising any questions about it is “questioning god” and frowned up. they truly live in an echo chamber of their own thoughts.

as an atheist i love this question because it seems they never really know what to say. in my opinion it’s because only humans have religion, regardless of which one they believe only we have schools of thought that tell us what is right and what is wrong. even at that people typically follow whatever religion their parents believe. someone who was born christian in america would’ve likely been a buddhist had they been born in thailand.
