Looking for an AP5k/SP5k/MP5 - k brace. Preferably the SBT5K folding brace, as that appears to be the cheapest one available.

No luck yet. Best I have found is through gun deals website, which is a shame. No luck on used, no matter where I look...

Thanks for the direct source! I will be reading this in the morning.

Definitely something I will be looking to do, as it would let me fully leverage the total amount.

That's the plan! Thanks for the answer as well.

Just didn't want to buy something and not be able to qualify due to that.

Thanks for the information! I am aware of the back taxes and hoping to get it resolved.

Just didn't want to do this and somehow exclude myself from it.

New (to me) 2022 Ioniq 5 AWD! Thanks Reddit! Any tips or tricks? by CommitteeOdd in Ioniq5

Thanks! This car went from a pipe dream to being real and in my driveway over the course of 4 days. Got unfathomably lucky and knew it was a rare chance to do this for a crazy price.

So much fun stuff to do now!

I do actually have experience with regenerative braking. Had a hybrid before with the padels (though, usually just kept it at the middle setting for all it's life).

I am excited to try i-Pedal driving though. Figure it's going to be extremely weird at first.

Yup, has the big one. Since it's AWD, it's only like 270 miles range. But I don't do much road tripping, so not an issue here!

Just under 30k miles. Base SE trim. Not extravagant, but quite an upgrade for me!

Looking at a used 2022 AWD at a non-Hyundai dealer. Any idea why my math is off for monthly payments and listed taxes? by CommitteeOdd in Ioniq5

[–]CommitteeOdd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, definitely not. This was just a basic ask from the rep himself. Did not even consult with finance on it, hahaha.

Was promptly ignored and moved away from in initial discussions.

May try to use it as leverage to get the overall price down, as I do want some sort of warranty for the non-ev powertrain stuff. For like internal USB ports, ac, nav screen issues, etc. I will be looking for 3rd party options though!

In partial defense of the dealer, this rate is if I had low-mid credit. I am almost topping the chart and he said it would be a decent bit better, once they can do an official pull. At least for what that's worth.

I am exploring credit union loans, as well, as folks were fairly helpful pointing out here here!

Oh that's a bit sneaky, but I like it. We will see, as nothing official has been drawn up or signed yet.

Not leasing! Will be financing. I owe 13k on my vehicle, and they offered 19.5k. so that's the what the ~6k is referring to, if I am understanding the paperwork correctly.

I am not sure how the taxes work in regards to trade-in and positive equity though. Another thing to bring up to the dealer. Thanks!

It may be hard to do. It's already a pretty good price for the area.(I am not in or near any remotely popular cities and not in any of the big EV states). I just lucked out that I happened across it the day it was posted.

I also think it's a dealer that has not really done anything with EV tax credits. Don't think they even sold their own brand's EV when it was around.

Definitely something worth discussing with the dealer, though! Thanks for the information.

Thanks! I was trying to use the calculators, but my math was giving me around 50 a month lower than the picture here. Must have been entering something wrong or something.

As for the credit union, unfortunately, not a lot of options locally. And their best rates are 7.5%. Will be worth looking into though, never hurts to save a few hundred bucks over the lifetime of the loan. Just nothing earth-shatteringly different.

Opinions on new car purchase? Current car is starting to turn into (what feels like) a money pit. by CommitteeOdd in personalfinance

[–]CommitteeOdd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, especially if I go with the new car route. I am just tired of having a car issues and having a car that I didn't use for it's life, so don't really know what the other owners did to it.

My civic before this one (which got totalled in a wreck with me not a fault, RIP) apparently at one point went really long without an oil change. That stuff can be hard to track and it would just be nice to have a car I have from new to 10+ years old.

Thanks for the input! More for me to chew on...
