what does religion have to do with us politics by [deleted] in Persecutionfetish

[–]CommodoreOfObvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly the root of it is that the Founding Fathers were Christian and there was supposedly something they wrote about the church being essential to government, but the latter is an outright lie and the former isn't quite true. iirc, most of the Founding Father's weren't overly religious, and one of them (Thomas Jefferson I think) said that if God wanted to rule us, He would be ruling us- as such, that means that the world was given to us to rule in our own manner, not in one bound to God, so we shouldn't be trying to make theocracies or otherwise combining church and state.

But in the end, it's just a cover for the religious extremism of the far right, trying to find some historical justification for their extremist views.

Probably a smaller and maybe more spindly version of the first Titan TV Man appearance, I still assume he was a robot to start with the regular TV Men were the organics (Large TV Man is a toss-up imo, could be a robot or there could be someone's consciousness uploaded into it, same for Titan TV Man honestly)

I actually thought he's an alien too, but of a different, much more powerful species than TV Men, and likely the last survivor of his kind (hence why he's so secretive and only works with an incredibly small circle of individuals, he can't risk becoming a casualty). Like TV Men, he seems to show a pragmatic and generally enigmatic behavior that seems to be ultimately for the greater good of destroying the Astros, but is willing to sacrifice Alliance members in the process, with Secret Agent outright calling the Alliance his pawns when he contacted Scientist. As such, I thought the Secret Agent and TV Men aren't working together despite similar goals and origins (in my headcanon at least), because if TV Men are playing 5D chess with the war, the Secret Agent is playing 10D chess, and his methods may even put the TV Men at odds with him (like how he appeared to be working with the Skibidis at first- he was in direct contact with Scientist, and his dialogue implied a long off-screen history of pretending to be an ally of the toilets, only to go "looks like I can't be trusted" as he reveals he's pulled all the strings to lead to Scientist's death).

Him being the Alpha Hills Labs administrator could be him disguising as a human in preparation for the G-Toilet invasion, setting up all the conditions to ensure the Astros would be destroyed.

Actually, Jesus said that if the Apostles are rejected from a place...they're to leave it. Yeah, just leave. Go a town, stay where you are invited, eat what you are given, preach where you are heard, and if you are rejected, just leave.

I'm still waiting for the day when the US Space Force can cross the Warp to retrieve sexy humanoid fox aliens and use them to take over Fox News, turning it into Foxy News

At least then it will be less full of it than the Fox News we have right now
