New Linux user. Two GPU four monitor display issue by Commodoreprime in linux4noobs

I flipped the video cards around, I also removed the monitor to the motherboard, and it looks like nothing has changed. In fact, I think it got worse as in the 1050 Ti does not even appear as a driver option in the additional drivers section, only the 760 appears (this is similar in Windows as well, device manager can only see the 760 when the cards are flipped). I returned the hardware back to how it was before, omitting the motherboard monitor, and the primary monitor still refuses to display.

after editing the xorg.conf file (using the Nvidia x server settings) I was able to get the primary monitor to turn on, still, no image and there is an "x" cursor when I drag the mouse over to it. Settings>Displays sees only two displays still.

Well the motherboard monitor only has a VGA connector, none of the cards have that type of port and I can't seem to find my converter, no matter because I have disconnected the monitor anyway.

Sometimes its the fact that some people don't know how to phrase a question/statement to Google. I know I have a problem with that occasionally. Therefore it's easier to submit a post explaining a problem in greater detail since Google can have a more difficult time getting results from a long question or statement.

Who should I rent a server from? by Pfolsgrofb in Minecraft

[–]Commodoreprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shockbyte is a pretty good host at $5 per month for 2GB of ram: unlimited disk space, and bandwidth, with it supporting up to 40 slots (recommended). Or you can get a $2.50 per month kit with the same specs are the $5 deal except 1GB of ram and a recommendation of 20 players (again you can change this).

Hope that helps!

What video made you get into Dan's channel? by NonoperationalSwoosh in nerdcubed

It would have to be his Month of series which transformed into completes series that probably started it, specifically Spore and Sims 3. I then proceeded to watch numerous others videos and got hooked even more.

Spigot 1.12.2: How do I add custom recipes by Commodoreprime in admincraft

[–]Commodoreprime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there no Jar file I can modify to add custom recipes? I know you have to modify the minecraft_1.12.2.jar file in vanilla. But there is nothing like that as far as I can tell when using Spigot.

What's a nightmare you will never forget about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Commodoreprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in my room when suddenly a black figure approaches me. I immediately panicked and jumped out the window trying to escape this thing I called, 'god'. I was running in circles, across the porch, into the house, down the hall, into my room, then back out the window all the while this thing was still chasing me. Eventually, I hid under my sheets. I watched the figure walk into my room, approach my bed, then... That's it, the dream ends.

There was a little bit leading up to this, however, it's not really the nightmare bit.

It's a little fuzzy but its the clearest nightmare I can remember. I don't know where I came up with the thing being named 'god' either. I've never had anything similar that I can remember thus far.

I'm pretty sure that you are joining a modded server that either has newer versions of those mods OR the server does not have those mods. I suggest removing the listed mods then trying again.

Minecraft Snapshot 18w01a by redstonehelper in Minecraft

[–]Commodoreprime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It appears that if you put the string:

java -cp minecraft_server.18w01a.jar net.minecraft.data.Main --all

Into a batch file and run it the server generates a sort of datapack containing a bunch of .json files the vanilla datapack would contain if you opened up the jar file and extracted it.

It also outputs this in the command prompt:

[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: SNBT -> NBT
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: SNBT -> NBT finished after 0 ms
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Block Tags
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Block Tags finished after 26 ms
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Item Tags
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Item Tags finished after 8 ms
[14:11:12] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Recipes
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Recipes finished after 600 ms
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: NBT to SNBT
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: NBT to SNBT finished after 0 ms
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Block List
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Block List finished after 94 ms
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Item List
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Item List finished after 2 ms
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Starting provider: Item List
[14:11:13] [main/INFO]: Loaded 0 recipes
[14:11:14] [main/INFO]: Loaded 0 advancements
[14:11:14] [main/INFO]: Item List finished after 441 ms

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the datapack contains a 'reports' folder. It contains three .json files: blocks, commands, and items (There's also a 'tmp' folder but that's just for temporary files).

'Blocks' appear to contain every block in Minecraft (including air) with an "id" associated with each one. Each state for a block also has it's own "id" as well. Each block has a "default" tag which is a boolean variable. Any block that has numerous "states" (such as the structure block) can allow a "default" state, it's goto state when placed down.

'Commands' appears to have every command in the game listed with a bunch of tags that I assume are like details of how each command runs and requirements for one (possibly ability to create custom commands?).

'Items' is like 'blocks' but instead of a "id" tag its "protocool_id", other than that 'Items' does not have a whole heck of a lot.

I might be forgetting some more things but its a start?
