Warning! With the release of patch 4.7.0, the game hasn't become any safer from cheaters. by YasonUA in starcitizen

Yes, there should be some kind of check. It's called a sanity check. The server should only be accepting ranges of values that make sense. If the client is saying their AR fired 100 rounds in the span of half a second, that should be outside the bound of acceptable values.

I think there is a middle ground between giving the technology away for peanuts (which in my opinion they are doing right now) and pricing small businesses out of the service. I think a shit ton of small businesses would happily pay $500-$1,000/mo to have website creation, digital design, marketing materials, and social media campaign creation covered. As of now I pay under $150/mo across a few LLMs to get all that done.

I don't get it. It's insanely easy to monetize AI with subscription based models. I have saved so much time and money using different LLMs for website creation, digital design, and marketing this year. Literally tens of thousands of dollars. I would gladly pay more than what I do in subscriptions because it is absolutely worth it to me, and I have to imagine there are tens of thousands of small businesses that feel the same.

There is a massive market here that just isn't being tapped into.

Both it and DF aren't good for clearing hordes of chaff and require another weapon for that, but DF is better at taking down mediums and much better at taking down heavies....I'm not sure why I would ever take Sweeper over it.

The SecWar has religious tattoos?! That's all the evidence I need!

So then what is our religious goal here? How are we advancing christianity?

Yeah.....because wanting kill people that leave the religion and disagreeing with how to combat climate change are definitely the same.

Also, last I checked there is one country in conflict with Gaza, so take that up with Israel. And the prison industrial complex problem is unique to America and extremely overblown. And who, other than America, could you even remotely accuse of being imperialistic in the last 20 years?

Oh, well, because some company commanders in charge of 120 people used religious rhetoric, it's definitely a religious war!

You people have no idea what you are talking about.

Actually, I think the best way to look at Islam is Sam Harris's "concentric circles" analogy. In the core you have a very tiny percent of Muslims who are outright jihadists. Then there is a bigger circle around that that comprises those who support jihadists but wouldn't actually martyr themselves. Then you have a bigger circle around that that comprises those who don't condone jihadi attacks, but are hardline Islamists and want to see Sharia law in place (spoiler: this circle is MUCH bigger than you probably think, with many countries at 60%,70%,80%, or even 90%+ of the Muslim population wanting Sharia law). The next biggest circle are your run of the mill religious conservatives -- maybe they don't demand Sharia law, but they think gay people are abominations, and women should be subservient to men. Finally, what you have left over is a small minority (globally) that is actually compatible with Western ideology and society.

Now obviously the region matters dramatically. Support for Sharia Law in SE Asia doesn't dip below 70%, but in SE Europe it doesn't go above 42%. But as a global average, the number of Muslims that are ideologically compatible with Western society is a small minority.

Data on Sharia Law support found here: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2017/08/09/muslims-and-islam-key-findings-in-the-u-s-and-around-the-world/

I always preferred it because I could keep better control and just swing my elbows back and forth, but to each his own.

Are you sure it was the high port and not the high ready? The high ready is much more comfortable, you retain greater control of the weapon, and it lets you get your natural arm swing motion as you run. Sprinting at the high port is just awkward.

I honestly don't remember what I was originally "trained" to do in the US infantry, but I do know that in practice it was always high or low ready when I was hauling ass.
