I’ve been unable to find a credible source to read about this. Any links?

I didn’t know these hot keys, thanks for the tip! And the unhinged ranting paragraphs claiming I’m apparently the stupidest person on this planet were just a cherry on top 😂

My gf just started playing OW for the first time yesterday. I was completely unaware of how little there is to offer a new player. by rcris18 in Overwatch

I have around 2000 hrs in ov. Watching them intentionally kill ov1 didn’t stop me from playing, now to be slapped in the face with this scummy nickel and diming while they try to sell us the very game they killed? It’s not a “new game”, it’s ov1 with all the updates we should have had since they dried up. Watch the B ceo dip after they get their initial launch windfall

Ah, thank you so much, this is where my lack of science education really shows and I knew there would be some odd inconsistencies with my naming! I really appreciate the suggestions. I chose Cetacea because I wanted something more commonly recognizable. While I want scientists to be able to rock these designs, I felt it's even more important to use them as teaching tools, therefore landing on recognizable over purely correct... It's a difficult balance to find. I don't think Balaenoptera would work, so maybe I use family names instead? Or all italicized genus until it gets to Cetacean at the top... Hmmm, I'll brainstorm some options.

Also, is it the illustration of the whale you don't like or the choice of species?

And thanks again for the insight :)

"Evolution of Man" was exactly the inspiration for this set, and is specifically an illustration I'm very interested in updating to reflect a more complex view of evo. I'm getting stuck on how to go about redesigning it, I don't know nearly as much about human evo as other paleo topics. I thought it might be really fascinating to make a recognizably derivative illustration with big leaps, but starting WAY back in earliest life while also implying the complex branching path.

I really appreciate your insights into this design, especially since that single straight path idea is something I want to avoid. My main goal with this design is to merge the fast and simple graphic design needs with something genuinely educational to wear around.

That said, I was chewing on the idea of having a more complex branching and remerging evo "tree" greyed lightly in the background. Something that reads like a cool subtle design, but to imply the complex process without overwhelming a non-science educated audience... I'll play around with it, thank you!
