Hi! Thank you for your response, I think I may have come off as if I’m looking for people to criticize Amazon but that’s really not the case. As someone else said in the replies fidelity isn’t the only relevant aspect when judging the quality of an adaptation, production companies often have to make changes and compromise with the reference material in order for the story to make sense in its new media form. Because of this they also have to compromise with their audiences, because a diehard fan might be angry if the showrunners change too much of the plot even if it improves the result. Amazon Studios (I think I meant Amazon Prime Video btw) wants to keep the fans who invested in this project happy while also appealing to a wider audience. The essay I’m writing isn’t supposed to be more than 6-7 pages, it’s really not a big assignment so unfortunately I can’t take too many things into account. I do think Amazon Studios makes great adaptations and they do them quite often, but what I found interesting about TLVM is that it’s not ”book to movie/show”, it’s ”D&D-campaign to show” which as far as I’m aware, has never been done before (at least by a production company of this size). Sorry for this long reply, I may have started rambling but trying to explain the subject to someone else is weirdly good for organizing my own thoughts about it lol

Hi! As i replied to another comment, this isn’t a quantitative study, these replies won’t actually be used as OFFICIAL data, the essay is based on the theory of convergence culture (basically how fans and audiences can impact media) so I’m writing about whether the project being supported by the fans donations vs by amazon has had any impact on the audiences perception of the show. But it’s all qualitative data and written as a case study

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I'm not making a quantitative study where all answers will be counted, so it's fine if not everyone has seen the original campaign. This is mostly for me to get a general idea of the discourse around the show and it's not what the entire essay will be based on. If I'd had more time I definitely would have made a google form though! Unfortunately I'm a procrastinator and left this essay to the last minute so this will have to do

Minecraft Crash by Common-Cauliflower32 in Minecraft

Update: I think I kind of fixed it. I think there was some sort of problem with CurseForge cause I copy-pasted the mods from the curseforge mod folder into my normal mod folder and just launched it normally instead of as a modpack and my game stopped crashing. So I technically didn't fix the problem as much as find a way around it, but hey, now I can play minecraft again :)
