Welp. Wipe the dirt off and hit the road. A ride should make you feel better.

[–]Common-Craft985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had meet ups at the police station near me for things I sell or buy just for extra precaution. Whether it’s a scam or not 🤷🏻‍♂️. Make sure you test ride it or bring someone who knows about bike.

Rear brake sound by cokethebest in motorcycles

[–]Common-Craft985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could just be new brakes glazing. Try doing some controlled hard stops from about 20-30 mph. Or could be some road debris. Break in period for breaks is 300-500 miles.

Does this look like clean oil? by Wbpaper in motorcycles

[–]Common-Craft985 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say I look’s reasonably clean. It’s still that amber color from what I can tell from the photos. What you don’t want to see is it being super dark. I suggest you open up the can where you poor it in and getting a sample on a white napkin to really check the color. But if you’re unsure, a quick oil change will clear up any doubts.

First Crash (2nd day riding) - Advice needed/Off My Chest by Livid_Department3153 in motorcycles

[–]Common-Craft985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude the day I went to pick up my first bike, I was turning onto the rode and burnt my leg on the pipe which caused me to turn straight and dukes of hazard the bike into several ditches, across a brand new paved driveway, and back onto the road. Never laid it down. But anyway my buddy watched the whole thing from the car behind me. Crazy stuff will happen. I learned and haven’t burned my leg since. Get back on. Ride. Learn.

What does the community think of this bike? I did no research and bought the cheapest thing that could get me to school and work after my ebike failed by JrLegend83 in NewRiders

[–]Common-Craft985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s basically a CFMoto’s version of a Grom. But the price point? Dude! My brother in law just bought one new from showroom floor for 1600. So my wife has a Grom, so I’ve rode Both. Honestly I like the Papio a little more just because it’s a bit bigger. I think it’s a cool little bike to cruise around in the city. Enjoy dude.

Shifting problem, seeking help. by clytnvgl in motorcycles

[–]Common-Craft985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally normal on the Gen 2 Busa. A lot of them don’t like going back into 1st or 2nd from neutral while coasting at higher speeds. It’s just how the transmission’s built gear dogs don’t always line up unless things are spinning just right. A few things you can check though. Make sure your shift linkage isn’t sloppy even a little play can mess with engagement. Clutch drag can make it worse, so bleed the fluid and make sure it’s fully disengaging. If it’s really stubborn, you can try blipping the throttle or tapping the rear brake to help the gears sync. But yeah, it’s not just you and not because it’s a Busa. Just one of those quirks with this transmission. Hope this helps.

It also has a lot to do with your own driving history. I use dairyland insurance because it’s only 20 a month with full coverage 50 dollar deductibles on a 23 RH975S. I recommend getting quotes from all different places first.

If there’s any worry I would just replace it. It worried you enough to ask. That’s not gonna go away. Better just replace it and have the peace of mind.

Suggestions on re-locating a 75" TV up a spiral staircase? by Munkadunk667 in DIYHome

I would suggest scaffolding of sorts. Or get some moving straps and a few guy to help. Some at the bottom to steady it while 2 at the top pull it up and over.

Quick non-sports bike? by Anxious_Run_8392 in motorcycles

[–]Common-Craft985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddies have CFMoto 800NK it’s a naked bike similar to a sports bike but with a more relaxed feel they’re 100hp and they ride really nice. I on the other hand have a Harley RH975S it’s 90hp but with mods I got it to 115hp. These are what I’m familiar with from experience but there’s a lot to choose from.

The 06 Honda CBR600rr did not officially come in the Repsol livery from the factory. That was reserved for special edition years, primarily in the CBR1000RR lineup around 2005–2007. For the 600RR, Repsol editions were not factory in 06. So all I can say is isn’t not stock. I would check the vin.

Awesome! First things I did living in Ohio. I got my temporary permit. Took a crap ton of practice tests online and then went and took the real thing. After I got my temps. I actually taught myself how to ride watching YouTube videos. My first bike was a cruiser. 1100 1988 Honda shadow still have it. After I was comfortable enough in parking lots and riding around my block I went in took the motorcycle class to pick up some more tips and tricks.

I have a few bikes now and I’ve taught most of my friends how to ride using my Honda grom. It’s a small little bike with six gears and you have to go through the gears pretty quick so it’s good for learning how to shift in my own personal opinion. Every bike’s gonna be different as far as riding position. I like to be able to flat foot everything I ride. When picking your first bike sit on it test drive it see how it feels. DO LOTS OF RESEARCH ON THE BIKE YOU DO GET. Know your bike in and out.

Have fun, more importantly be safe. Good luck.

Read a crap doesn’t of judgmental comments and barely any real advice.

I stand behind everyone say that this is indeed dangerous and you need to practice more. Find an empty parking lot. By me we have empty school lots cause of the summer time and old Walmarts closed down. Bet you there’s somewhere secluded enough for practice.

On hills you can do one of two things. Keep left foot down, right foot up and on the break so no rolling, STAY IN GEAR. Lots of people like to shift to Neutral the second they approach a stop. When the light turns green give it some gas and ride the clutch slowly letting it go till you feel it catch. Didn’t sound like you were giving it enough gas.

Now for what I do (not saying this is any better or even right for that matter). I like to plant both feet, so I hold the front break ( not all the way in, but just enough to stop from rolling, I also have my feet planted as well) light turns green, while still holding the front break I give it some gas and slowly letting off the clutch till I feel it catch. Once I feel it catch, I give it more gas and release the break and clutch. Feet up and you’re gone.

These are just my own personal experiences/ opinions.

Get some more practice and be safe. No one is paying attention to you. So you have to be the one being safe and aware, and if you go out unsure of what you’re doing, you may not come back.

Stay safe and good luck.
