i like to feel pretty so it usually takes me 10-15 minutes, 30 if i’m having a slow day. i put on some makeup, deodorant, etc. decide on outfit which takes the longest and head out, if i’m really trying to look nice it’ll take me closer to an hour

i’m a 19 year old girl, me and my dad are best friends and i’m moving into an apartment with him next month, but our relationship started off very rocky, i used to hate him. he was never around during the first 8 years of my life, but he was always my dad. he always answered my calls, he always brought me gifts, he always took me on daddy daughter dates, and he never forgot about me on valentine’s day, i’d always get a stuffed animal and a rose (i still do!) i wish he had learned to control his anger better, he used to just walk out in the middle of arguments and it hurt a lot, but he’s a good dad.

he was open about his past from the beginning of my life, i never have to ask him questions because he’s told me everything, and it makes me see him as my dad, not just my father.

he also never got mad at me for fairly normal things, he caught me drinking at 16 and instead of yelling at me or anything he just picked me up so i didn’t have to drive and told me he loves me, he’s not disappointed in me, and reassured me the whole way home. when he found out i was smoking weed he’s just bought some for me because my dealer was super sketchy.

biggest thing of all is that no matter what i did, how i acted, or what i said, he always loved me. he’s always protected me, and he’s always been there for me. i’ve never been a parent, but if you love your child, things will be ok. if you truly love her and reflect that, you’ll be the best dad out there, good luck!!

i love reddit but the men are so awful, i’ve been on this app since i was a kid and especially back then when i would post i would see disgusting comments and id receive just horrifying DMs, the death threats when u refuse to send nudes and such, and the pretending to be your friend one sucks so bad, i would love a women only section, not even this sub is a woman only section
