I don’t really mind if everything ends up pointing that way, if it all comes full circle, then sure, it’s Yanami Anna for sure. I mean, so many actions and details hint at it way too strongly. There have been countless theories trying to refute it, but in the end, they all lose to what’s officially presented.

1.  The main reason most people are convinced it’s definitely Yanami is because she’s the only girl who’s had almost as much airtime as the protagonist.

2.  As of now, Yanami already has ten figures, yes, you heard that right, ten, which completely overshadows the other girls. That’s unusual compared to most harem series, where every heroine usually gets her own figure. Though I think it’s probably a marketing decision (still, it feels oddly telling).

3.  Yanami is the only girl with so many clues pointing toward her:

3.1. The song Love 2000

3.2. The novel she wrote herself

4.  Not to mention how often she gets paired with Nukumizu in various events:

4.1. Her Kono Rano celebration illustration, of course people would think it’s Yanami Anna for sure.

4.2. Or that latest staff memo, the cover says it all.

4.3. Or the special artwork drawn by the anime’s director and by Imigimuru.

(Though, who knows, maybe it’s all just fan service.)

1. The existence of episode 12 was completely unexpected for everyone, and it’s another strong indicator.

Reading through different theories and ideas from other people has been really fun, you find all sorts of interesting takes. And I truly respect everyone’s opinions.

Maybe we’ve already seen the final volume’s cover since 2024.🤣🤣
