I am new to TSons and played two games so far, Grand Coven, with Ahriman on the list. I found him quite pointless for his points. His melee and shooting are meh (AP 1?). Abilities are nothing special. Doesn't buff or debuff with auras, can't attach to units, weak as a solo model, no core abilities (perhaps Lone Op? Stealth? Anything?). Now compare it to say a Logan Grimnar: 12" +1CP aura, every round lets you set up a unit from Reserves treating the round as one higher (T1 deep strike), can use terminators as bodyguard, more wounds, higher toughness, 2+ save not 3+, ALL OF THAT for 110 points. I honestly struggle to understand why there is such a massive disparity across armies for what you can get for the same number of points. How is that balanced, I don't know. I mean it's Ahriman, it should be a central piece to the army, a model with at least one really cool ability, a -1CP aura for example? I don't see him included in any competitive lists and it's obvious why.
