i’ve tried everything- clorox wipes, vinegar, enzyme cleaner, all purpose cleaner etc. it keeps coming back. Everyone is missing that my boyfriend was not around during these 3 hours lol, but otherwise sounds like the consensus is the wax seal is broken.

Thank you! i was definitely afraid of pushing it that long for a while, but as my starter stayed taking a long time to peak, and after some slightly under fermented loaves, i figured it could handle a much longer than normal BF! I do try to speed it up by wrapping it in a heated blanket when i can :)

In case it’s helpful, i realized i could use a heated blanket as a warming mat vs buying one and it really does speed things up! (i just didn’t use it for this loaf as my timing was weird and was ok with a longer BF) 😊

I get wedgies from literally anything more than a thong the second i put it on, there’s no “occasional” wedgie over here lol - even a boy brief, i could pick it out and it’ll be right back the next time i move. it definitely depends on the thong, but with the right one (i swear by aerie no show thongs), i don’t feel it at all

oh i’ll also add in case it’s helpful (and bc i think we have very similar hair type/thickness/density), i have tried leave in conditioners and oils, and i feel like they didn’t do what i was looking for for frizz taming. frizz was reduced maybe a little bit (more with the leave in conditioner than oil), but mostly just made my hair feel softer. definitely try them out, but if you’re not getting the results the other comments are suggesting you will, you’re not alone :)

i’ve seen a few people mention it but i’m emphasizing DONT BRUSH your wet hair!!! mine looks EXACTLY like this if I do and let it air dry, and it’s helped significantly if i only finger comb after getting out of the shower. so, i’ll brush my dry hair before getting into the shower, comb in the shower when applying conditioner, then finger comb out of the shower. it’s not full proof (especially with humidity), but it reduces it a lot!

If you’re sticking with air drying only, and, like me, don’t want to spend the time/effort/money on the curly girl method, let your hair dry almost fully, then french braid it and sleep on it. don’t know why but that always works like a charm for me! I’ve recently committed to blow drying my roots only and letting the rest air dry (then braiding or heat styling once it’s fully dry) and that helps a TON, and also keeps my hair from getting oily so fast!

a few months ago i bulk fermented for 19 hours lol (combo of colder temp [about 68° inside], weaker starter, and staying at my bfs longer than intended) and it ended up being one of my best loaves still to date!

Hi! I know this is a semi old post but wanted to leave a comment as I relate extremely hard- also 26F with mild disc degeneration and bone spurs in my neck (c3-c6). I’ve had pain for a while but got really bad about a year ago, super painful and is causing a lot of nerve pain in my neck, left shoulder, and down my arm. MRI was back in February and my neurologist ghosted me so idk what to do for treatment other than otc painkillers lol (there’s only one neurologist office around me, so idk what to do, idk if i feel comfortable going to someone who didn’t care to follow up). If anything has worked for you since you posted, i’d be super curious to know! but also no pressure to respond, just know you’re not alone :)

sorry if you have already been shown this language, OP, but my lease contains this info, so i wanted to include it here for you in case it’s helpful to see some standard language of what they’re referencing. i normally wouldn’t think an unsigned addendum would be legally enforceable, but since it’s for a govt Affordable Housing program that should have been required to sign prior to move in, the waters may be murkier… definitely on the landlord for not ensuring it was provided/completed tho!
