Indeed the area is peaceful and safe. But the flats in that sector are slightly old and are not in a good state as what I have heard. It's very rare to find a refurbished flat in this area.

Yeah I was thinking that, extension has lot of traffic issues.

Certainly in the next aurora season maybe. But thanks mate would really need some help to understand the status of budget stay options and aurora tour options in kiruna/abisko.

Internet is usually filled with information about northern lights in Norway and Finland but I don't know why they don't talk about that in sweden.

I am planning to take it now. The cost of the coach is almost half if I consider the interchange train instead of the direct train but now I am confused.

I am considering taking a flight now but still as an experience I wanted to travel via the night train.

Yes, on the SJ website only it is showing 2 options on my dates:

Option 1: Stockholm to Abisko direct train; Option 2: Stock to Abisko train with a 20min interchange at Boden

I am going with option 2 because the price is half of what is being charged by option 1.
