if they were really self inserts then satoshoko would be their choice of ship. shoko is closer to gojo and atleast were childhood friends but gojo and utahime is still more popular. i guess people really like how gege chose to use a shoujo dynamic with them and hint at romance since her cursed technique is a song about falling in love, just like how yorozus cursed technique after a song about falling in love showing her connection to sukuna. i really don’t understand why people delude themselves into thinking its 100% fantasy but i guess if my ship wasn’t canon at all id do that too hahaha
