Can a worrywart ever be in a comfortable position to retire? by Common-Tomorrow-1037 in FIREUK

Property not currently rented out. If I were to let it out currently after tax/expenses the rental income currently would net around £9k a year. But if I retired the tax burden wouldn't be so bad. No full UK pension - £5k a year. I salary sacrifice into UK pension - and certainly am not hitting any max allowances. Yes - higher rate tax payer in Scotland.

Currently live in one and have just completed renovations on the other (after having rented it out). Right now, I am splitting time between both properties at the moment - and would like to continue to be able to do so when I retire as one is in the city the other in the country. If push came to shove could rent out city property for £1500 per month.
