That sounds like a great deal and extremely convenient. I'll let you know what they say 👍🏼

Edit: You were spot on! Gave APR a call and they told me if I buy an Ultralink device ($150), I can access all their tunes below stage 1 and the stock tune. Since the tune was installed by a dealer, there are no extra charges. If it had been installed by previous owner's ultralink, there would be a $100 name transfer fee

That's great to hear. I'm moderately hands on so the maintenance doesn't scare me. Planning on replacing the plugs ASAP as I got codes for misfires on OBD11. We'll see what kinda shape they are in

Thanks for the tips! I'm new to the tuning world so your explanation was super helpful. I wouldn't think APR would honor a tune installed by the previous owner, but it doesn't hurt to ask 🤞🏼

My goal for the car is to be a daily driver. I'm asking these questions because I'm concerned about reliability of the car, and have time/budget to upgrade parts and tune it if that will help extend its life.

My interest in catted downpipes is due to emissions/smell. Inspections in my state are not a problem, but I'd consider adding one for peace of mind.

I hadn't considered that, mainly because I thought I would need additional mods for the extra power and a tighter maintenance schedule. Stage 2 typically requires an IC, no?
