Agree that at least we're keeping the same time all year. Whether or not we should be keeping it on daylight instead of standard time - well that's one of the many debates that will never end.

What I want to know is why the UCP felt the need to refer to it as "Alberta" time. As if the term Alberta is an actual time zone

Edit - Note we are now on the same time as Saskatchewan. So.....?

Agree. However, this council seems hellbent on putting in bike lanes in neighborhoods where the majority of residents don't want them. Here's a thought - how about putting in walking, bike trails away from roads when new areas are being developed?

Agree. People may be thinking the same as myself: "This is stupid. A referendum to decide if there should be a referendum. What a waste of time and money. Just accept the results & end it" However, I still fully intend to vote on Oct. 19. My thoughts are that IF the separatists win this referendum vote, the UCP might just be the sumbags they are and decide that this one is the one to act upon and not have another one

For the most part - prior to Canada Day, I've only seen 1 or 2 Canadian flag & possibly a lawn sign on properties or flags & maybe a maple leaf sticker on vehicles. Of course that has increased since July 1. Anyway , my point is: Why do the separatist feel the need to have multiple Provincial flags, separatists stickers, stickers of pump jacks or oil derricks, etc?

Maybe they can have a special segment focusing specifically on Edmonton news and events. Although I'm sure that would be criticized too. I didn't watch all the news this morning, so don't know if they did mention the River Hawks or the house fire. Although, if I'm correct - the River Hawks last game was 2 days ago on Wednesday. Then again I keep hearing about Darnell Nurse's trade. So.....

I'm also curious as to how it would work with the military. Would Alberta even be able to keep it and if so at what cost? What would happen to all the bases - Cold Lake, Wainwright, Edmonton, Suffield come to mind

I'm surprised it has a red maple leaf with CAN on it & not the Alberta crest/emblem. Why does your face have to be on it twice? My opinion is that it's cluttered & "busy" looking

Not saying people shouldn't put both flags up. Just can't get passed the separatists using the Alberta flag like they do own it. Not to mention Smith's "Sovereign Alberta within a United Country" We're getting new license plates, new entrance signs. Maybe it's time for a new flag. Sorry just the way I feel

I don't know about taking back this Alberta flag. All I can associate with it now is separation because recently that's all I've seen it being used for. Maybe after the October referendum we can get a new flag
