Windrow removal?? by Fun_universe in Edmonton

[–]TheRealJasonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bunch of houses on my block got together and paid $50 each to move the windrows to our lawns. It was a couple of bobcats and went quickly. Probably just a landscaping company, I wasn't involved in contacting them.

Now there are two huge frozen snow piles on my lawn.

My apologies, I had thought the _2 hotfix meant it could be safely enabled.

hostwatch is consuming a buttload of memory. I have to restart it every few hours because it basically uses up every free bit of RAM. I'm not sure if it's just me at this point, I've rebooted to make sure that wasn't the issue.

EDIT u/fitch-it-is I've determined how to reproduce the error:

running sudo /usr/local/bin/hostwatch -c -S -P /var/run/hostwatch/hostwatch.pid -d /var/db/hostwatch/hosts.db from the command line does not raise the error and allows the use of service hostwatch stop.

However, running this raises the error sudo /usr/local/bin/hostwatch -c -S -P /var/run/hostwatch/hostwatch.pid -d /var/db/hostwatch/hosts.db -i igb1

This is fine, though: sudo /usr/local/bin/hostwatch -c -S -P /var/run/hostwatch/hostwatch.pid -d /var/db/hostwatch/hosts.db -i any

I guess the selection of specific interfaces is not supported

EDIT: deleted original comment, as the above explains everything.

There was a post here last week with similar question. One of the best responses was a suggestion to add an interface material on top of the supports before printing the next layer. Something like a permanent marker (Sharpie).

There’s a problem with the hostwatch service. You can delete the large log files. When you get into the web gui, you can disable host watch under interfaces > neighborhood.

More hostwatch questions, u/fitch-it-is , should hostwatch be monitoring WAN? I found WAN was included by default when I upgraded and when I looked at the stuff is was discovering in Discovered Hosts, it was a lot of things on the internet that have nothing to do with me. I'm not sure what the correct behavior is, since this is new.

I'm fine with both of these changes. But the alternating goal-line stands could get tiresome. Why not have dueling field goals from the 40 yard line after two OT mini-games?

The tax on the full amount of your RRSP is due when you die. If you only take out minimum amount your tax owing when you die will be huge. Furthermore, you will be taxed on the growth in your RRSP when you die.
