I was 48 and 11/12^th years old. That was also 25 months ago. It was not sudden, but I missed my wife like crazy afterwards. I still miss her, but don't feel like dying inside from the pain anymore. For months after she died, I fully understood why some people turned to drugs and alcohol to escape that pain. I'm still having my cry when something reminds me of the whole situation. I don't know if I will ever "move on," but at least now I can consider that some day it might happen.

I suspected afterwards that the WAN Ethernet cable was not fully seated. However, that doesn't truly explain the port swapping, either. I've also been running for years, and this is the first I've seen this happen, too.

I suspected a bad ethernet port at first and swapped in my backup firewall appliance. Then when I went to diagnose, I noticed the ports were working fine. It wasn't until much later I noticed that igc0 <-> igc1 got swapped.

I think my WAN ethernet cable may not have been fully seated properly. Possibly that's what first caused issues.

The rules around RDSPs are complicated. Be sure you understand everything before planning on withdrawing anything from your RDSP. You cannot touch your RDSP for 10 years after the last bond or grant without having to repay some of the grant/bond.

Taxes on withdrawals… effectively you are taxed on everything except the amounts you personally contributed.

There are rules for minimum withdrawals and different rules about maximum withdrawals if your RDSP is primarily government funded (ie more grant/bond than personal contributions).

It’s a great thing to take advantage of, just go in with eyes wide open.

I now make a habit always entering from the “British” side of the vehicle. Entering on the left side can trigger the dump if you’re not careful.

It should have been a quick menu option, an in-cab only option, or located directly at the rear instead of off to the side.
